Whats Your Name??
The_Festyon 31/07/2017 11:13On arrival at Carnately Lodge we were greeted by our host. I introduced my wife and son, but our host never actually introduced herself.
Our room was compact, very little storage space. I will say that it was spotless.
For me, Breakfast was a disappointment. I would guess that the orange juice was the cheapest brand from a local German discount supermarket , and the coffee was poor quality instant coffee.
Irish holiday
tamlachon 17/07/2017 21:30There are no issues here.
Even though we called in a bit early and initially some confusion regarding contact phone details (we aussies have a much simpler mobile phone calling system) we left a message which was promptly responded to, to advise we were going to be a bit late arriving due to sightseeing commitments.
We were met by a very kind gentlemen who assisted with our luggage. Our room was clean, great view and window was able to be opened for personal preference.
Comfortable bed and pillows and clean showers/facilities.
Our breakfast was made to order (perfect poached eggs) and there was plenty of variety to choose from and great views of the surrounding countryside.
Yes, it is a couple miles from town but coming so far as we have done is no sacrifice to drive the few minutes into town.
We were also provided with great advice on best places to eat and were not disappointed.
I did request a chair for our use in the bedroom (to which was provided) and Colette openly stated the use of the house lounge was available if so desired.
Both Colette and Burt were wonderfully chatty and made us feel most welcome.
If back in Ireland would definitely stay here again.
Well done to our hosts.

Delicious Breakfast
Hoffman4on 01/07/2017 07:53Our room was big, the bathroom was super clean, huge, and modern, but the best part was a big Irish breakfast, it was delicious. Our host was very helpful and recommended 2 places to eat dinner the night we arrived and we settled on O'Connor's in Ballycastle. It was a really good recommendation, and he gave us spot on directions plus where to park. Very nice friendly couple, Large place to park cars. I would book again if in the area. I needed the Wi-Fi to book our flight and it was very good thru out the house, even in the breakfast area.
Best B&B of our trip
Chiara_Paolo_BSon 26/06/2017 20:03We spent here 2 nights. Staff is really friendly and takes a lot of care to the guests. Rooms are very clean and recently restored, then they are pretty nice and modern looking. Room was large and toilet really clean. The b&b is quite close to the village center and there’s a free parking facility right In the back. Wifi was included. From here, catching the bus, we was able to have a long walk to Giant’s causeway and to The Nook. The B&B is quite close to the “Dark edges” the famous Games of Thrones set. Breakfast is served in a nice patio (closed with windows) and you can have all what you wish for breakfast (both cooked full english breakfast or continental breakfast). Price is not cheap, but it worth all the money you pay for. Recommended.
