Ms. Shirley was a wonderful host. Her homemade welcome punch is by far the best I have had on any island. There are beautiful views of Grand Anse and plenty of outdoor space to feel like you have the place to yourself.
Although some updates could be considered, the hospitality you receive will spoil you. It was easy to get taxis to and from as well as tour set ups.
What I will always remember about my stay at Grand View besides the wonderful host are the night skies and how quiet it was.

beautiful island. great for relaxation. excellent food. easy to move around and be sure to do a tour of the island. beautiful beaches and friendly people. there are beautiful homes owned by citizens who live abroad. a must visit if you go to Grenada. reliable transport by the ferry or air.

We stayed for 4 night the end of April, 2017. The Grand View is very well run and nicely maintained. The views are spectacular and the whole experience of Carriacou is very laid back. More like the Caribbean used to be when we first traveled there 20 plus years ago. Ms. Shirley is very helpful and proud of her island. It is a great place to relax and a good location to base your explorations from.

Close to Airport, so a short and inexpensive taxi ride. Check-in was quick and easy. A small but nice bar at the swim. pool. The adjoining restaurant is more than adequate. I loved the early morning roosters nearby.

We stayed on Carriacou for a week in early March 2017 in a suite. The hotel was very clean and was in an ideal location for views of the south island, a 15 minute walk to the town of Hillsborough and on the local bus routes for access to island sights. Meals were available if desired and we often had breakfast and sometimes lunch using the kitchenette. The host was wonderful and staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.
