We loved Hostal Casa Alborada. Very clean and very comfortable bed.
It is a very charming place with the typical Andalusian patio and the location is excellent,
Walking to the beach is about 5 minutes and in the surroundings there are plenty of restaurants and places to enjoy ice creams, drinking, shopping...

This is not a bland, international hotel. It has a genuine Spanish / Moorish feel about it. Staff were charming, helpful and, being in Spain, Spanish speaking but did know some English. Our room was small but delightful with a very comfortable bed, adequate storage and a modern bathroom. The roof terrace and interior patio were added bonuses. The availability of hot drinks, biscuits and dulce wine in the foyer were a nice touch. We chose a room with a window overlooking the patio, slept with the window open and didn't need to run air conditioning. However, a/c was available and, I imagine, will be required in the heat of summer. Despite being full, the hotel was quiet and our sleep was not disturbed. It is in an excellent location in the middle of the old town. That said, I would strongly advise parking down by the sea and taking your case on foot up the hill (Wheeled cases an advantage) rather than driving through the warren of little, narrow streets. I agree with the comments about the stairs. They are extremely steep so if this would be a problem for you, I suggest you ask for a room on the ground floor. Breakfast is not available but cafes and bars are available a few steps outside the front door.

Room was quite small but very clean ,nice bathroom with walk in shower .We had a balcony over looking a court yard ,very peaceful .One nice touch is the roof terrace complete with outdoor furniture ,really nice place to chill out .The only downside are the stairs are very steep (not English building regs ) could be a problem after a few glasses of sherry .All in all a very pleasant stay .

We had a nice ground floor room. Good attention to detail with refreshments available. Good location for walk around main areas. Town has a nice atmosphere, narrow streets with many people eating. We had ground floor looking into street which was interesting to watch people walking by. Night action lasted longer than we could and when we closed two sets of shutter windows noise was nil so we slept very well. Good parking nearby. Driving around town in one way narrow streets was a little challenging. Park up and walk is my advice. Hope to return here for longer stay.

Casa Alborada should be listed at least as a 4-star hotel. It has a great character delivered through design, as well as kindness and hospitality of the people who run the hotel. Once you enter the hotel, you know you are close to North Africa. The hotel has the undeniably moorish feel to it. And you also k now you are close to big water. In fact you can see the Atlantic Ocean from the roof top, which is very cool. You are standing on that roof, which means you have traveled to the southern-most point of the European continent, and that feeling doesn't leave you when you are staying at the Casa Alborada. The rooms are well designed and are very comfortable and the inner yard is small, but very cool.
