Very comfortable room in decked out in a wonderful colonial style furniture. Very good breakfast on roof top terrace.
All staff extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel well positioned for city centre with only a 20 minute walk to main square. Good restaurant close by to hotel.
Only stayed for one night but would quite happily have stayed longer. Would recommend for family or single traveller.

We had a great stay in Arequipa recently. The Hotel we chose, Casa Arequipa, could not have been more lovely. Elegant comfortable and super clean rooms. The service however was the best part. The staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Silvana Juarez in particular, was extremely efficient, friendly and kind. She really did more than just her duty. I work in the service industry and her level of dedication to her job and especially her customers are rare. She is a truly special. I would recommend Casa Arequipa to anyone who wishes to visit Arequipa town. I great place!
A Comfortable Place To Stay

We got off to a bad start at this hotel. We were put into the "Purple Room" which was in an annex to the main building. The floor was covered in a thick layer of dust and grit and I started sneezing straightaway. It looked like the room hadn't been used in a while because the TV was completely disconnected and I had to crawl behind it to screw the antenna lead back in. Also the curtain didn't completely close and there was a bright light just outside which was on all night, keeping the room illuminated. To cap it off, it rained during the night and after there was a continuing noise from water falling from the roof down to the ground nearby.
We mentioned this the next morning and to their credit we were moved immediately for the two nights remaining of our stay to a very comfortable and larger room in the main part of the hotel. I think a stay only in the Purple room would have been a two star experience.
We enjoyed the rest of our stay. The view from the roof top breakfast room was stunning.
One negative point is that to walk to and from the city center, which we did twice a day, you have to cross a road coming off a roundabout near the hotel. This was quite dangerous as there was continual fast moving traffic from early morning until late at night. This of course is not the hotel's fault but is a factor to consider if you prefer to walk around the city.

Would recommend to solo travelers, friends, families. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property inside and out is lovely. It was close to the main square but in a quiet and quaint neighborhood.

Casa Arequipa is a beautiful place for a few days' stay. Spotlessly kept and tastefully furnished, with friendly and helpful staff and comfortable furniture. The location is a potential drawback, around 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Arequipa, but this also means that it's lovely and quiet at night, and we enjoyed the stroll into town every day. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the rooftop dining area and terrace are stunning.
Our only quibble was that there is no way for guests to access the hotel without ringing the bell and waiting for someone to come to the gate to answer. We do understand the need for security but we would have preferred to be able to come and go more easily. We could also hear the doorbell from our room, which got a bit irritating. Installing an entry system would make a big difference!
