The staff was really great; from meeting us at The gate AS our taxi pulled in to providing towels at the pool without our even asking. I forgot to make plane reservations to leave Cartegena and the young man at the desk spent an hour sorting things out 4 choices for breakfast. Great and super clean and quiet room.

Beautiful hotel nearby the old town, high ceilings with air conditioning, big and confortable bed too clean and quite, speaking english staff and very helpful/friendly people, this hotel provide you a good breakfast and fast.!!

I came to this hotel by recomendations from my friends and they were right. Relaxing and quiet place 5 minutes walking to walled city, clean room and fresh breakfast, little cortyard, clean areas and pool. I have to say that the staff is the best part of this hotel, all of them were attentive and friendly, we loved our stay and we're coming back in our next trip to Cartagena.

After a trip to santa marta we arrived at casa bustamante and the reception by the staff was amazing, we were allowed to enter the room before check in time and they waited on us as gods, we were concerned that in the hotel they would not speak English but fortunately Angelica speaks english excellent and we were able to feel safe, spacious room very clean and well equipped, green areas around the pool where we ate breakfast every morning, I would like to mention the excellent treatment of Angelica and Miguel, very friendly people and attentive.
I highly recommend Casa Bustamante.

My family and I stayed at Casa Bustamante for three nights in August. It was perfect for us. Small, quiet, and peaceful, yet close enough to the Old City that we could walk, or on especially hot days, take a $2 cab ride. We found the neighborhood to be very safe, even after dark. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely updated bathroom and solid air conditioning. The pool was an absolutely wonderful respite from the heat and we used it at least briefly everyday. The beach is just across the street. Although it was not the most beautiful beach we'd ever seen, it was friendly and lively on the weekend with local families and food vendors. The staff was very attentive and kind to us, in particular, the manager Miguel. We had the unfortunate incident of our 4 year old wetting the bed one night, which has never happened before. I was so embarrassed when telling Miguel that I almost cried, but he was so helpful and kind and put me at ease. (Even the cleaning staff made a kind comment so that we wouldn't feel embarrassed.) The staff was also helpful in booking transportation to nearby attractions, such as the Aviary. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples or families visiting Cartagena. Very pleasant, and very good value.
