Poggio al Casone was the perfect location for our week in Tuscany. Such a beautiful property and excellent service. Michela and her team were fantastic. So helpful with tips for our visits to Pisa, Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano. Restaurant recommendations too.....Our apartment was comfortable with a full kitchen. If your visiting Tuscany stay here !!

We loved the large and comfortable apartments. Large living room/bedroom and a large kitchen with dining room. Only the bathroom was a bit small in regard to the rest of the apartment. Just one sink and very small shower. The room was very clean and was cleaned again in the middle of our 8 day stay. There were plenty and soft & cosy towels. which of course were renewed as well.

Apartment was excellent, well equipped and air conditioned. (The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated!)
Information on local amenities, restaurants etc was very good, and staff were most welcoming and helpful. Beautiful setting on a working vineyard. Lovely swimming pool.
Would strongly recommend Poggio al Casone for holidays in this region.

Sad to say but we disagree with the general view of this property. We booked a deluxe room which opened on to the car park and had French doors no windows. The second room was a kitchen. This meant no ventilation. The air con was poor - one of three units working - and loud. There is little to do and no staff except for reception at manned hours only. The breakfast was ridiculously overpriced and very poor. The sound of the neighbours pack of dogs barking every morning was the icing on the cake. This property markets itself as being in Tuscany but it is right on the border and close to nowhere. Also the wifi is awful

Our week at this vineyard was just perfect. The area was beautiful, the standard of our apartment was really good, service minded and friendly staff, great wine from the vineyard, fully equipped kitchen. We rented a car for three days which was delivered on the vineyard, booked by the staff. 20 € for the delivery. Many cosy villages located under one hour driving from the vineyard. A good grocery store just 8 min walk from the vineyard. We ordered breakfast on the balcony one day and it was really good. The swimming pool was nice.
Our stay would be even more perfect if the apartment would be cleaned and towels changed more than once during the week. The wifi was also a bit annoying because we had to log in every time we went in and out from the apartment.
Our best tips: order pizza from Pablo´s Pizzeria delivered to the vineyard (the staff booked for us). Eat at Locanda Lo Scopiccio. Eat pastries from Panificio Pasticceria il Quadrifoglio in Terriciola.
We highly recommend a week here to enjoy the best of Tuscany and relax in beautiful surroundings.
