What People are saying

A lovely hotel where the owners' attention to detail is apparent as soon as you arrive

Ana, Manuel and Patricia make sure you are well looked after - may not be the place if you are on a strict diet !

The room we had was beutifally decorated and the common areas and garden quite charming. Lovely walks, beaches and places of interest nearby

We enjoyed it so much we returned two years later

We returned to this Casa Rural for a second visit lasting 4 nights having enjoyed it so much on the first occasion 2 years ago. This time the owners upgraded our accommodation to the family room in the garden which, like everything at the Casa, was beautifully constructed and furnished. Two comfortable camp beds were made up for our children in the living area, but that still left plenty of room for sofas and a coffee table. The bed in the main bedroom was huge & the amount of cupboard space was so generous that we managed to find room for all our bags as well as clothes. We opted to eat at the Casa in the evenings; supper is served from 9pm, and the food was plentiful as well as delicious. Apart from the choice of desserts the menu changes every day so it could be vegetable soup followed by grilled fish steaks one day and mussels followed by beef steak the next. In contrast to our previous visit, though both occasions were in August, the weather wasn't quite warm enough on this trip to eat outside, which was a pity. I highly recommend a stay here. If you do book, I suggest you contact the owners directly rather than through one of the booking agencies &, if like me, your Spanish skills are weak then use Google Translate.

Great rural getaway

We stayed at Casa Do Mudo for 2 nights in July 17. It is a fabulous small country hotel - impeccably kept and comfortable. Ana and Manuel obviously take a lot of pride in their hotel which is reflected in the quality and choice of fittings, furniture and decorations. There were loungers and umbrellas for sitting in the garden and a lovely veranda where the couple served their fabulous home cooked food in the evening. It was by far the best place we stayed in our fortnight in northern Spain. Ana & Manuel were very welcoming and helpful.

Tranquil location great food!

We visited here for 3 nights in August. Ana was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The garden and hotel are both very peaceful a great place to recharge the batteries! We opted for a home cooked 3 course meal for the 3 nights and having read great reviews we were not disappointed. The food is not only delicious but the portions are enormous! The wine was also very reasonably priced and local to the area. Our room was very restful and quaint with a large sitting area attached. Beware of the mosquitos at night and bring some anti repellent with you! The breakfast was also filling and consisted of orange juice, toasted bread, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, ham, cheese, cakes and pancakes. Great value for money. Thank you Ana, we hope to return one day having improved our Spanish! Muchas gracias!

Wonderful Property and People

A little off the beaten track but well worth finding - ideal for a short stop over whilst touring Northern Spain. We loved the buildings and gardens. Ana is a lovely host. Our room was the downstairs one normally for the disabled - excellently fitted and very comfortable.
The glass screen to the kitchen was a lovely touch to see the family working so hard in preparing the dinner. The 3 course dinner is worth taking for the starters alone.

Breakfast was a lovely spread - only let down was no choice of bread - sorry we do not really like heavily toasted baguette.
On a warm day it is delightful to eat on the terrace
We recommend you stay here - do visit the pottery nearby. Also, in the village on the way in from the pottery is a lovely little bar - nice family run it and just right for a drink on a hot day (when you are lost trying to find Casa do Mudo!
