Happy with our stay there!
Staff was nice, friendly and helpfull.
Room was very clean, modern, big enough, with closet and desk.
Bathroom with lots of hygiene products (more than expected). Hair dryer could be borrowed.
Airport can be reached by cap in about an hour (depends on traffic). Costs about 300Rs (with ola).
Metro about five minutes walk away.
Breakfast (indian, bit continental) was huge and good.
Laundry Service was expensive.
Wifi wasn‘t working well, every day the limit had to be extended again.
Coffee was ok, and veg restaurant means you also don‘t get eggs for breakfast.
Avoidable

Not a bad hotel. But with all the better hotels in the vicinity, I don't see a reason why I would choose this one.
If only the staff were more polite and trained, it adds value to the traveller experience. The traveller doesn't want to feel unwanted.
it' Good but expensive for what's on offer.

it's a small hotel, a modern and clean one, right in the middle of the city, less than a mile to Victoria Memorial. It provide a good middle range accomadation. But for US65 per night, it is a bit expensive for Kolkata. There are plenty of hotels around charge much less for the same service.
The staffs are good, and the room, though small, are adequent. The breakfast buffet offer vegetation options only.Wifi works OK, and the MRT stop is 500 meters away.
Many shops nearby, include a new Forum Shopping Mall.
It is located on a main road, so as expected, it is very noisy.
My only critisism is they don'e help foreign visitors to look Uber or Ola Service. so if you don't have a local Indian mobile number, you are in bad luck. I am lucky to bump into the manager of the hotel, who is willing to help me to book a vehicle to the airport.
I think the hotel should change the policy about this.
Good hotel. Very good breakfast

Hotel is very good. Locationa and rooms good too. Only thing is price is extremely high. I had bad experience in other hotels therefore staid here without planning. The service has full thumbs up. This hotel only serves veg. food. Which is good.
The first Indian hotel with great hospitality skills

This place is great. Hospitality and customer service is very big on my priority list. They were always very friendly and helpful. Helping us with taxis and making sure we didn't get ripped off.
The room was very clean. Room service was always very nice, and the staff always friendly.
If you look at Hotel Casa Fortuna on Google Maps, it makes it look like it is on the other side of the road.
And yes, the first night when I laid down I did think that there was a minor earthquake. I was convinced there had been but then realised that it was so close to the flyover. It was not enough for me to give the hotel a lesser rating as it wasn't that big of a deal, but the building did definitely shake very slightly. Noticeable if you had a glass of water on the side table.
Breakfast was probably a slight negative. It was aimed very much at the Indian clientele. And as you're probably aware, it is a veg only hotel. Not to my liking but it wasn't an issue. There are many eateries around this area. Subway is only a stones throw away.
Overall we had a great stay. Other Indian hotels made us feel like we were a massive inconvenience but Hotel Casa Fortuna was very welcoming.
