Human & Dog Paradise

It's outside of the chaos of Acapulco bay, and the grounds and small houses make you feel like you're in a paradise far away from everything. I would stay here without my dogs, but the fact that they are welcome and welcome to roam free makes it that much better. Also, the food is incredible and reasonably priced- order the whole fish. Trust. Stay here if you're looking to get away and relax.
Our visit to Acapulco
jec2001saon 25/05/2017 01:46We booked a trip to Acapulco for mid May 2017 and before we left our friends and family said Acapulco was dangerous, which of course made us a little nervous about going. However, we decided to go and see for ourselves. We arrived at Acapulco Airport late Saturday night, too nervous to rent a car, we decided to get a taxi. They took us to Casa Yalma Kann Sensor, which is about 30-45 minutes south of the big hotels, condos, “the night life”, etc. We were greeted by Jorge who took us to our room. We asked him about getting a drink, and the next thing we know Yehoshua was at our door. When we asked if we could have a couple of beers, knowing the bar was closed, he said yes and brought us a cooler of beer and a smile. We woke up the next morning and while enjoying a great breakfast, prepared by Carlos the cook (Great Chef!!!!), and overlooking the endless pool and the beach right behind it, we told our new friend Yehoshua about our nervousness exploring Acapulco on our own, he told Carlos who immediately came to our rescue. Carlos offered to show us Acapulco on his time off an d he was good on his word. He and his wife showed us all the highlights Acapulco had to offer. They made our made our experience a wonderful adventure. The landscaper keeps the grounds looking beautiful at all times. We thank Lupita, for making our bungalow feel like home every day and the whole staff at Casa Yalma Kaan Sensor for making us feel welcomed and at home. We can’t wait to see all our amigos again.

JetJellyon 06/05/2017 22:34If you're a dog person, I don't know what alternatives you have. BUT if you don't enjoy constant barking, shagging dogs and having your shoes urinated on or dogs joining you in the pool, then stay far away from this. I imagine that the overpriced rates are because it's a dog friendly accomodation.
We tried to remain positive but ended up having to leave and to look for a new hotel despite having paid in full already.
Also, the place needs some renovating for the rates they charge.

Abril Pon 23/05/2016 23:44We chose this place, mainly because it is PET FRIENDLY and we were looking to spend some days in the beach with our dog.. what a pleasant surprise..
the place is nice and exactly on the beach side, with a huge beach area - although the ocean was not calm so our dog didnt enjoy it - all rooms are small style villas, they are very nice, but dont expect to have a huge space it is small and simple but enough..
the place is pretty and with character, a bit far from civilization, but basically we were looking for that, to disconnect a little from the stress...
My main issue would be the pool, although the area is pretty and fun to be, the pool feels dirty and the restaurant service, the food is very tasty bus the service closes early so no chance of feeling hungry after 10...
over all is a nice place and to be pet friendly is super nice, no restrictions for the dogs, so if you are not looking for a place to relax and be with your dogs or other dogs is not a place for you...
Not worth it
RebecaWB80on 27/01/2015 15:50We spend five days in the hotel. I fist called to confirm they were no kids allowed and about the location. The hotel is located very far away from Acapulco or the Diamante beach. The food is poor and really expensive. We spend five days and three of them the manager allowed some kids to be playing around the hotel, making noise and some even crying all day. It is not that I don't like kids, it’s that I was expecting a really relaxed vacation and we got all the contrary. I even went to talk to the manager on the kid’s situation and she laugh and said, well they are not making noise at all. One day there was an infestation of mosquitos and we asked for a repellent and they even charged us for that, it not again that we are not willing to pay, it’s just a matter of attention to your customers.
