We were skeptical with the mixed reviews but we had a very good experience. We would stay again. Great location and the staff was very pleasant. It is dated but that is part of the charm. Water pressure could be better but overall a very nice stay.

If the free breakfast is the deciding factor for you to book this property versus others well...don't. There is NO breakfast at the property, nobody tells you that until you are looking for breakfast in the AM and have to ask random hotel guests that look just as annoyed when they tell you that the "free breakfast" is a mile away. Such free breakfast SUCKED by the way. Other than that, if you book one of the ocean front rooms the view is gorgeous at all times of the day and a dream at sunrise. Location is within walking distance to boardwalk, across from the beach- literally, and you can see The Wharf from your room. Front desk, there will be times when you will NOT find a person there.... not sure why. Rooms are spacious and clean but need to be updated for USB ports and so on.

Very cute, clean and comfy with a awesome location. However if you like daily maid service your out of luck.
Second day there we had to hunt down housekeepers to get fresh towels, room was never cleaned.

I hate giving three, because we really love everything about this place..except that we had a chain smoker next to us this past weekend. We were in room six (which we loved, also love room one) but the patio is for all guests of rooms 1-6, which is fine, except that it is small, and to have someone smoking constantly right next door, limited us to only a short time to get to use the patio. For $900 for the two days, this was quite disappointing. We get those rooms for the patios, not the room itself. You pay for the view and use of the patio..we came no where close to getting our money's worth this trip. Also, he smoked under the sign that says "this is a smoke free facility". But the front office said that was only for room :( Sorry to say that we cannot return with the chance of not being able to use the patio again.

The hotel has lots of steps and no elevators. When I checked in they never offered to help with my luggage. I had to carry it down 3 flights of stairs. We paid $475 for a room we thought was on the beach. It is across the street from the beach. Might seem not important, but it's a busy main street. The bathroom was small with a single sink in bedroom. No breakfast. The front door inside was filthy.
