SKI LODGE ONLY
OregonProud7on 07/10/2017 18:56Stayed here one night September 26, 2017. I would not recommend staying here during this time of year if you are a traveler. This ski lodge/motel is meant for the ski crowd during the winter months. As we were headed to Mesa Verde National Park, this accommodation was entirely out of the way and too far to travel. It is located 30 miles outside the city of Durango, Colorado, we arrived around 7pm, the front desk was closed and the desk clerk left us an envelope with code to get into our room. The lighting is atrocious. You cannot see which building you are driving to and the parking beneath the motel is pitch black. Due to the fact we arrived late, we had to travel 3 miles south to the nearest place for food (which closes at 8pm). There are absolutely no services located here. Keep this in mind.
Our room was standard. The housekeeper forgot to clean the couch and there were chips crumbs all over the couch and floor. The bathroom had a faulty toilet which needed repair. The room included separate areas for a family space and bedroom. The only bedroom television does not include channels but use of dvd's only.
When walking around in the morning, we noticed some tenants who must live here year round. This place is not really a motel but more condo in style with rooms available yet permanent residents. Odd.
Unit #323 had a BEAUTIFUL view!
Valerie Con 11/09/2017 01:21The king bed was comfortable, and the sofa sleeper was queen size. The staff at the Columbine Group rental agency was friendly and attentive. The furnishings and decor were nice, and there was a full size fridge. That is unusual for a one bedroom loft. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed our stay very much.
When you make your reservation ask for information about the unit
nighthawk779on 01/09/2017 16:17The quality of the units varies widely so try to get as much information about the unit before settling in. The unit I had (346)is very good and has received good maintenance. The only thing I notice was that there were a couple of holes in the patio screen doors. Wi-Fi only in the office.
Beautiful Property, Varying Room Quality
Tara Mon 16/08/2017 21:54The property was beautiful with pool, hot tub, and tennis court. Parking was difficult from the unit we rented, approx 50 yards uphill from parking to doorway, making it difficult for my father-in-law to access. All rooms had at least 1/2 flight of stairs to access, again difficult for those with mobility issues.
The unit we rented was not furnished with very comfortable beds and the toilets were barely functioning. I would recommend asking for specifics on the unit you will be renting as these are privately owned sublets.
The advertised 'free wifi' is only usable in the office lobby, the modem in our room gave barely any signal and the cell service through our provider was spotty.
Father's Day weekend adventure
Bobbi Don 20/06/2017 22:48Stayed in a 3 bedroom condo at Cascade. It was perfect for us. Great furnishings, well stocked kitchen, fluffy linens, underground parking with room access from parking area. All the rooms had tv's and wifi worked great. Good price also. Sad we could only stay for one night! Will definitely recommend and will return again! Great property!
