I was pleased by the overall appearance of the room and the comfortable beds. I was very displeased to discover the bathroom contained no bath.. I nearly fell and busted my butt on the floor by the sink, their was no sill to contain the shower... made it dangerous. The thing is I am a disabled vet, yet am not in a wheelchair, nearly need a wheelchair after using that shower. Oh yes the girl at the front desk was very rude too.

We escaped for a 24 hour respite from the world to celebrate our anniversary. We booked a lovely suite on the 9th floor and the two rooms were very well appointed. The living area had a desk and table, sectional sofa, large TV, powder room and safe, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The bedroom was equally as spacious and well appointed with big mirrors and a comfy king bed. Great shower, bubbly tub (we didn't try) and another big TV. The only fault on the room were the toilet seats -- which were open style with no lid. Free fast internet in the room was great. There was some noise from the parking lot, so a pool view would probably be preferable. The gambling area, filled with slot machines, bingo parlor, some tables and a poker area did allow smoking. They had good ventilation, so the room was not "blue" with smoke, but it was smoky. We greatly enjoyed the Buddy Holly Tribute Band -- great energy, music and lots of dancing. Food at the restaurants was good and the drinks were generous. The pool is large, shallow and delightful. Overall, a great place for a quick get-away!

We ate at the buffet, and while it was a little pricey, we were quickly sat and there were many options. So, definitely worth it in my opinion! There were plenty of options for the kids as well, and they especially enjoyed the desserts. Sushi anyone?

The front desk was not friendly at all. We called and asked for early check in and the woman said we need to come to the hotel and ask. So we drive to the hotel and the woman said no check in until at least 2:30, if even. Why they could not tell us that on the phone we did not understand. So we arrived at the hotel around 2:30 and dealt with another rude woman who said they would call us when our room is ready. At 3:30 we went back and asked and she was so rude again. We had asked for a pool view and she said we didn't have one, I asked if there was any way they could get us one and she was annoyed. It was a simple quick look in the computer with the manager, who also did not even say hi or acknowledge us in any way.
TRAVELER BEWARE: the whole lobby stinks of smoke from the casino and it is really bad! Why they cannot put some doors into the casino area to keep the smoke out is beyond me. All of the restaurants are in the casino area open to the smell of smoke. We were there with our kids for a quick staycation. There is really nothing else around so we did end up having to eat there. We did eat at the buffet- not too bad. Moby's for breakfast was actually delicious!
What made our stay nice was we rented a cabana by the pool and had Jasmine as our cabana attendant and she was amazing! The pool area is very nice and we did enjoy the day at the pool. Later that evening we had a hard time finding something simple to eat so we went to the bar area in the lobby. The server was so rude and our food (flat bread pizza, burger) took almost an hour! We asked the server where our food was and her response was "Don't get mad at me!" we were shocked and asked for the manager. They did comp the food but that is not what we were looking for just some good customer service from this place. So, overall not what we were expecting at all.
Most employees are rude and unhelpful, they really need a good lesson in Customer Service!

This is not our first stay at Del Sol Casino. We stayed over Memorial Weekend to take grandchildren swimming. Rooms are always clean and lobby and grounds are always kept up. When we visit the casino its always kept up as well. We are sad though that Mr An has left as he had the best sushi to offer. My husband is taking me back for my birthday in August and stay for the weekend and we will try the streak house this time
