Awful service lukewarm food

Went with friends for a cheap celebratory meal we would have done better going to McDonalds for a burger
Took ages to be seen to and the service was poor
For a starter we had some mutton rolls they were quite good but unfortunately it was downhill from there
Main courses I had a South indian chicken curry that was best described as lukewarm. My friends Masala was similarly just warm. This after waiting over 30 minutes
A really unpleasant experience and extremely disappointing add on poor service and an attitude that was unhelpful

This ‘hotel’ is above a pub that opens until 1am. You have to check in through the pub which is a busy place so don’t expect to be looked after exclusively. The room itself (family room) was a mixture between clean and dirty. The sheets and towels were clean (fortunately) but mould spots on the shower curtain to dirty doors handles and curtains (hideous) were falling off their tracks. We won’t be back.

Obviously a pub as well as a restaurant and guest house; check-in was over the bar. Being a Saturday evening it was busy and noisy so conversation was difficult. I mentioned breakfast and was told it was available. To access the room I had to go outside again and in through a separate entrance. The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. I imagine it had fairly recently been decorated as had the bathroom. Towels were ok but bath towel was small. Shower was the handspray type but lots of hot water although temperature not easy to control. Tea and coffee makings available. I washed my hair and unfortunately there was no socket for my hairdrier close to the mirror and vice versa.
I realised I had not confirmed breakfast arrangements so used my mobile to call reception. Was told I had to order and pay for it at the bar. As I had already changed into my pyjamas the girl at the bar came up to my room. I ordered for 8.15 and went downstairs about 8.10. Doors all locked up but I could see a light on so knocked on the window. I was then told the breakfast would be delivered to my room. It would have been more helpful if the process for ordering and receiving breakfast had been explained when I booked in and asked initially. When arrived it was ok although the bacon was overcooked. Not sure what had happened to the egg but it was neither fried nor an omlette but somewhere in between. Toast was barely brown and there was no butter.
Staff were friendly and reasonably helpful. I was only there for one night; somewhere to sleep so I could get to a morning family event easily and was adequate for that. Not sure I'd use it again.

Situated in a easy accessible place, with ample free parking. Went in for Lunch a bit late but lunch was available. Sri Lankan & Indian food available in the menu. Good choice to select from. Took a bit long for the food to arrive but very tasty. The lady serving us was very friendly & helpful.

Best Indian/Shri lankan food I have ever eaten. I can not go any other place since eating here. It is fresh and tasty. The staff are lovely. The food is hot. They do amazing New Year's Eve nights with a great set menu and Bollywood dancers.
Absolutely love this place!!
