Old world charm and great vibe

Stayed at Cavala over the weekend for a school reunion and had a great time. The hotel is a hop from the happening Baga beach and has a great old world charm about it. The retro music nights every Friday, the lovely breakfast (served considerately until noon to account for hangovers) and even the surly silver haired waiter who looked like a hippy who had been left behind in the 70s made our stay really special.
A word of thanks to Mathew at the reception for a great job...
Will definitely stay at Cavala again...
Fun time on a Saturday night

Had a fab time... with the live band & dance teachers to get the party going. Would definitely go back to Cavala! The manager came around several times to check and make sure we had everything we needed.
Saturday night retro delight!

Went to the restaurant in Cavala on a Saturday night and enjoyed the music and food thoroughly. The band was awesome and the singer (Zoe) superb! The dancing pair Pressley and Erica were a delight and they cutely led all interested guests through a line dance. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Would highly recommend if retro music and a bit of dancing is your cup of tea.
Great ambience but average food

I found the ambience worth the hype with jam worthy retro hits and enthusiastic dancers. The restaurant was buzzing with energy and the band playing was excellent. The service was poor though and slow. To add, we asked for the Wifi over 6 times but in spite of the pressure and constant asking, it took over 80 minutes to give a password, which turned out to be wrong. In today's day, Wifi is offered by most eateries and it would be okay to say that we don't share the service to restaurant guests but they continued to delay the process with was annoying. The food was very average. I only recommend the potato wedges and mushroom appetiser. Due to the slow service, we ended up cancelling a large portion of the main course as the food took so long. There was a man who showed some magic tricks which was a good hook for kids while parents grooved to the music. I think the charming ambience is the best part but I would not go back for the food or for a meal, just to dance.
Great vibes

Wonderful quality to this place. Staff is amazing and jaunty. Food is delicious and the music is meant to make you smile all along. We went on a Saturday night and the live music performers were a delightful group. Our kids enjoyed too. Great place to unwind. Loved the lamb lasagne and serradura.
