We visited with friends who booked the kitchen table experience in the hotel kitchen. A great experience with wonderful food and very friendly staff. Lovely rooms and a cosy feel. Great location for walking across the fields to Chatsworth.

From the moment we arrived at the car park we knew we had chosen well.
Lovely warm feeling when we stepped in and greeted by Amy...who was so wonderful.
Our first nights stay was in room 21...which was beyond fabulous...second night in room 10
The hotel is gorgeous and within easy walking distance of Chatsworth house...but the thing that makes a visit special are the staff...you will be treated like lord and lady of the manor
Especially if you are lucky enough to be served by Gerry...who is amazing

A lovely base from which to visit Chatsworth and the Delightful surrounding countryside. Pleasant rooms, very quiet even though the hotel is located one a busy main road. Nice restaurant and lounge although the staff appeared a little stretched. The biggest downside for me is that the room didn’t have a safe, essential these days for storing PC’s and iPad’s etc. This one issue would actually stop me staying there again as we found ourselves storing kit in the car which was a pain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here. All the staff without exception were courteous, professional and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. And on top of that the food offering was excellent; afternoon tea was delicious and copious, and beautifully presented; the florentines were particularly toothsome, and without chocolate too, which I loved. Another food item which was enjoyed was the curedsalmon with horseradish ice cream! We will certainly return for second helpings. Our room was also particularly commodious. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Cavendish on a special Sunday break . It turned out to be one of the most memorable short breaks of recent years . Everyone was so welcoming and helpful and the decor is truly exceptional. The evening meal , which was included within the price of our Sunday stay , was simply outstanding . I cannot fault thiis hotel and cannot wait to find an excuse to return.
