Spent a night here with my wife as a stop over on our way home. We had made our reservation through booking.com and the price was so low that the young lady on reception thought we were booked for room only until we pointed out that breakfast was also included. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our room was was excellent with all facilities.
We used the restaurant for our evening meal and were both very pleased with the meal, similarly breakfast was of good quality and very enjoyable.
We would certainly go back to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Had a wonderful first visit to the Hepworth Wakefield this morning, having driven up from Wales yesterday. Needed an affordable hotel nearby which allowed dogs - this was perfect for that.
However, we had room 157 which is on the ground floor. The bathroom was identical to one you would find in a hospital. The bed was comfortable enough but all night long there were people right outside the window smoking... there is an ashtray on the wall outside, in between the two windows of room 157. I pity anyone needing to open them for fresh air!
On the up side, we had a room service meal, and chose the burgers, which were delicious and well cooked. Bravo!
Breakfast was average. But I found this deal through Snaptravel, at £25 off the listed price, so it was all in all fair value. The only thing that would put me off staying there again was the proximity to bedrooms of the smoking area outside.

Had a lovely couple of days here booked with super breaks so was value for money but rooms need some attention especially the electrical items lights , hairdryer, kettle all seemed a little unsafe. Food was really nice with our break we got dinner on first night and breakfast on both mornings.

Heater in room don't work, got someone to come check it and they said Carnt fix it , told reception on way out and they said they couldn't alter the rate , so payed 40£ to sleep in a cold room , not good

We had a group booking for an evening dinner and dance at Cedar Court Hotel Wakefield. The meal was excellent, it was served promptly, was nice and hot and many of our guests complimented the quality of the food. The staff were helpful and the duty manager look after us well and responded quickly to any queries. The room for our event (Ocean suite) looked lovely on the night and was just right for our size of group. Many of our guests also stayed over at the hotel and seem to have had a comfortable stay. Overall the event went well and we had a lovely evening.
