Best vacation!!
R9723AKjamesaon 18/06/2017 01:03We have travelled extensively and I did a lot of research on where to stay for our family vacation. We decided on Chabil Mar and it was incredible!! The rooms were so spacious and clean. Housekeeping came every day and did a full clean. We were welcomed upon our arrival and from there on the staff and concierge (Sheldon) went above and beyond to help us relax and book excursions. The food was delicious and they encourage you to eat anywhere on the premise including on your balcony, in your room, in front of the beach, on the beach etc!
Every day we were treated to a customized experience for our family (two daughters ages 7 and 4) and we were so well taken care of. Only thing I would recommend is to be sure to bring well-working bug spray for your excursions in that the mosquitos and sand flies are brutal. We can't wait to go back!!
Delightful ambiance
paulamZ5076KKon 15/06/2017 04:10the apartment was comfortable and lovely with every convenience. The grounds are well maintained with two pools. The staff are friendly and super accommodating. It was nice to have the option of riding bikes into town or being driven by the hotel.
They could keep their kayaks, lounge chairs, and other beach items in better repair. Many items were broken.Their bar is in the back of the resort away from the beach. This doesn't allow for much fun socializing. They should consider stocking their "gift shop" with some items such as t shirts , hats, etc. the beach and pier are picturesque but the water has eel grass bottom so swimming and snorkeling is icky off the beach. It's close to the Coppola Resort where you can go for meals and appreciate the Balinese grounds. Must dos are taking a snorkeling day trip to one of the nearby islands and a day trip to the Jaguar Preserve. You can book from the hotel but cheaper to book directly on your own.
All in all we would go back to this hotel .
Relaxing Resort
KSanders197on 12/06/2017 07:57Traveled to Belize for the first time and opted to spend the first two days at Chabil Mar. Accommodations were perfect for us. Amenities and friendly service were also great. Location on the beach and near town was also just right for us. We both want to come back - soon.

Sondra Ron 11/06/2017 22:32This was our first visit to Chabil Mar. We liked it's proximity to Placencia Village and hourly evening shuttle was very accommodating. They provided air-conditioned shuttle service to and from Placencia Airport. Beach and pools were well maintained (no sand fleas). Our room was cool and clean, but a little dated. It took three days to get a working coffee maker and the clothes dryer was never fixed. The loft is a great idea for kids, but the bamboo ladder is inherently noisy. As always, Belize is about the people, and Chabil Mar has great people! Have Sheldon or Luis make you an ice-cold Miami Vice!
Back Again!
amatexAmarilloon 11/06/2017 03:51We returned to Chabil Mar on June 1, 2017 for our second visit. We had friends who went with us, and it was their first visit to Belize. We had villas next door to each other and both had ocean views. This time the weather was hot, but light winds and perfect for kayaking and paddle boards. It was the most awesome visit--great food, comfortable bed, and a staff that is first class. Everyone, from the front office, the bar, housekeeping, drivers, and concierge treated us like good friends there for a visit. We highly recommend Chabil Mar for a relaxing and beautiful get-away.
