We arrived in Bangkok with a few hours to discover the city and enjoy the hotel. Wow - there are not enough words except to say Thank you Paul Walker at Secret - Retreats - what a place and what an amazing hotel. This is not a hotel its an experience and without doubt the best place to stay in Bangkok ! A royal palace with a difference, ooozing style, charm and service you cannot ask for anything better ! Thank you xxx

I had a wonderful time staying at Chakrabongse Villas.
I had hoped for a leafy enclave to get away from the bustle and pollution of Bangkok whilst still being well located to explore the city. It was that and much more.
The private complex has an interesting history, and the setting gives views of the Grand Palace right across from its own section of the river bank. There is a traditional longboat and speedboat available for guests' use, whilst the Garden suite is well equipped with a very comfortable bed, and incense burning outside!
The staff, however, made the trip for me. They were charming and friendly and made me feel completely looked after.
I very much hope to return - thank you again to the team at Chakrabongse Villas.

Right on the river, these Villas offer a quality Thai environment. It is close to all main cultural attractions. The restaurant's terrace facing Wat Arun gives a sense of exclusiveness and the staff certainly contributes to that. The food is good as well. A very nice experience.

We loved this place! It was gorgeous and calm, and the managers are extremely friendly and professional. We enjoyed falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the river right outside our door, and loved the excellent location right next to the grand palace and wat Arun. I'd love to come back at some point in the future. Highly recommend!

We enjoyes our stay at the CV's. It's almost directly across from the Reclining Buddha and only a short walk to the Royal Palace.
We had a nice suite. He grounds were pleasant. The pool area was not especially elegant. Compared to some other five star Thai hotels, you may be disappointed were it not for the great location.
