This place was even more than I expected! Views, Great and spacious rooms, Balcony, and free WiFi. Breakfast was Phenomenal!!! What REALLY made the stay AMAZING was the Owner Steffi Zinn! She is the BEST!!! Incredibly knowledgable about the area, an avid hiker/climber. You simply won't be disappointed stay here.

We had the privilege of staying here for a night in July. The property itself is in an extremely beautiful setting.
We were delayed in our arrival and were reaching almost around 9 pm. Realizing that it was closing time, Steffi was kind enough to guide us to the nearby restaurant (Gamsalm) and accommodated a checkin post dinner ( as late as 10 pm). To top it, she gave us an upgrade!
The rooms were very well decorated - almost in Roman style - reminding us of the proximity of south Tirol to Italy. The suite had a large well furnished hall, bedroom, and massive bathroom. The breakfast spread was sumptuous. Steffi also gave us a tour of the wine cellar and gave us some guidance around local hikes to do on a rainy day.
Overall, loved every minute of our very short stay at Kals. I would return to this place and stay at Chalet Maria Theresa in a heart beat.

Everything in this chalet was perfect. Super tidy, Steffi was a wonderful host, our room was junior suite in the second floor, quiet, comfy, great view. The breakfast made me almost cry, so delicious it was! I can recommend homemade marmelade done by Steffi herself.
The only small flaw was a matress which was bit too downy and it could get quite cold at night if you turn the heating off.
The distance to Kals-Grossglockner resort is very short, but we were too lazy and did not want to walk in the skiing gear even the 10 minute walk. Spend here just few nights and this quiet distant village in the valley, away from all the rush of big cities will make you feel really rested. Every day we slept like 12 hours because it was such a peaceful place. For me, it was a perfect relax weekend in a nice accomodation, perfect mornings and great skiing. I still wonder why it does not get crowdy there...

My 18 y.o. son and I stayed here for our (too) short skiing trip. It's a beautiful, quiet and comfortable place. The breakfasts were great, views from our Blue Spitze Suite were fantastic (Including the bathroom, - no kidding!). I'll try to come back in the summer.

We had the very great pleasure of being Matthias and Peggys last guests as they have sold the chalet and are retiring. We spent three days as their guests and it turned out to be one of the funniest three days we have spent anywhere in the world. Apart from the great fun we had with our hosts, the property is superb. Our suite (large lounge, bedroom and luxurious bathroom with heated floor) was probably the best accommodation we have stayed in with great breakfasts just to finish off with. On behalf of the the reviewers who have taken the time to post reviews on this property, I would like to thank Peggy and Matthias for their untiring efforts to make all our stays memorable.
