this hotel is one of the good property in munnar.....is located 7 km away from munnar town....its looks like a 4 star hotel.....we stayed here for 3 nights.......all the rooms are well designed,spacious,neat and clean....view from the balcony is amazing.........staffs are very friendly.....

Great place to relax, excellent service, great people. Try to spend at least a week to relax and get rejuvenated in the environment. It has everything you can imagine to spend time inside the resort and lots of places to visit in and around Munnar!

We visited Munnar during the May day long weekend and it was extremely crowded with traffic jams at all tourist attractions. However the Windy Woods hotel was a good experience overall.
Coming from Bangalore we had to drive past Munnar town for around 7 kms to reach the hotel. The rooms overlook a valley with tea gardens all around. It is a multi-level building with no single lift that covers all the floors, hence a bit confusing at first. The hotel does have a 4-star look and feel and that includes the prices.
The room was spacious, modern and clean with a nice balcony overlooking the valley. In the evenings there were plenty of insects visiting, hence had to keep the balcony door always closed and the lights switched off. The free wifi was a bit dodgy at times.
The staff were always very friendly, cheerful and helpful, starting with the welcome drink and check-in process. They offered a plantation walk around the hotel in the evening which was pleasant. The artificial forest and waterfall that is designed and built within the hotel premises seems a bit overboard and wasteful. Why was it needed when you had natural beauty all around?
The breakfast spread was very good and tasted good as well. We also tried both the buffet and a-la-carte dinner options and both were good, albeit a bit pricey.
There is a swimming pool in the place but we did not have the time to try it out. They have an indoor play room and gym that is good to spend time in the evenings or when it is raining and you are unable to go out.
The hotel is definitely pricey when compared to most properties in and around Munnar, but does maintain good standards of facilities and service.

Very good hotel, location very good, view from room was awsome , cant use swimming pool due to rainy season, food also tasty and candle light dinner was nicely arranged on demand. above all the service was very good and prompt. Will give 10 out of 10
