Hub for Hill Country Adventure

This was our "return" to the hill country for a midweek adventure. Our last visit to the Johnson home and ranch was about 30 years ago. Chantilly was a perfect location for seeing all the LBJ sites and visiting Fredericksburg but also provided a delightful retreat away from the hubub. The room was spacious and wonderfully equipped with everything you could want for a home away from home and the natural setting extended our "room" into the great outdoors. Porter & Sylvia were great hosts and the breakfasts in the screened porch of the big house were incredible! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay for a hill country retreat.
Gourmet Breakfast

Friends and I had a girls get away to Chantilly Lace in Johnson City TX. We are still taking about the gourmet breakfast. WE had breakfast two days and each was an event in itself. Our cabin was clean and had everything we needed.
We watched the deer, goats, and wild birds .
We Were So Comfortable Here!

We do a lot of small town travel and like to stay in quaint, local places. The Chantilly Lace Country Inn was great. Our suite was large: two nice size rooms and a bath. The bed was comfortable and the linens were great. The handmade goat's milk soap was amazing as was the roomy bath. We had a corner suite by the balcony and it's a great place to sit and drink coffee in the mornings. The best part of the experience was breakfast. First course was crepes with strawberries, followed by Eggs Benedict. This is our kind of place!
Sweet Anniversary Stay

My husband and I wanted to escape the city for a weekend, so we headed to the hills! The property is lovely, homey, and relaxing. Our hosts were very kind and amazing cooks! I'm still missing those delicious decadent breakfasts! We stayed in the Taste of the Country Room and enjoyed the balcony porch for reading breaks in between our excursions out into the nearby towns. The room and bed were comfortable. The B&B is a short drive to Pedernales State Park, Krause Springs, and the hill country wine trail. Our hosts made excellent recommendations for dinner spots and a local wine tasting room. Will definitely recommend to others and return for another visit!
Short getaway

My husband and I stayed at this quaint B&B in Johnson City. We were visiting Perdernales State park and opted for a bed instead of a tent! Porter and his lovely wife are great hosts. The meals they provided wee plenty and tasty. The view of the humming birds at the breakfast room was out of this world. I have never seen so many hummingbirds in one place. The beds were very comfortable and the a/c was cool. The water pressure was a little weak but didn't impact my shower. Overall a very pleasant and convenient place to stay and visit all the fun art and wine in Johnson City.
