Below average, unclean budget guest house

This is a budget guest house...do not expect anything from this place. It is okay if you want a place to stop and freshen up as a single male traveler but nothing more.
Needs lot of improvement in cleanliness and hospitality. Booked it because it was cheapest online near to the place I wanted to go.

I know of this property since this was opened, but stayed only recently,
Everything wears a old look, looks like not a single penny spent on any kind of maintenance, getting transportation is not easy form this point, and the service staff keeps on looking at you in a very embarassing way for everything that you ask for....
Not recommended to any one...
Yikes

Okay, first of all this guest house is in a terrible location. There's nothing nearby. You can walk to an ATM and a sweets store and that's about it.
Second, it was dirty. Now, I've travelled around India a bit so I don't expect to eat off the floors in budget hotels, but when you have what looks like staff of eight people all doing nothing, couldn't someone sweep? The plumbing and wiring were also extremely suspect, even by Indian standards.
The staff seemed utterly incompetent. They honestly did not seem to know how to deal with a guest. For example, Indian hotels have to register the facts about their guests on a government website. The people at Charans were not able to do this. They called me from my room THREE times to help them input the information. I finally took over the computer and did it for them.
They forgot to give me towels and toilet paper when I first showed up.
I had to leave early in the morning so I wanted to settle the bill the night before. Apparently this was not possible so I was promised that someone would be at the front desk first thing in the morning. Of course, no one was so I had to find someone to wake up who then went to find the desk clerk to wake him up so I could finally, mercifully, leave never to return again.
To be fair -- their food was not bad.
