We spent six nights in this hotel, for bird watching with an excellent ornithologist who lives nearby. This hotel is at a beautiful spot on the lakeside. Many bird calls can be heard all around. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Gutshaus Federow is located in the Mecklenburg lake district.
The Muritz Nationalpark starts at the hotel's doorsteps. If you
are looking for a quiet, well run place, where nature and cyclists reign supreme, you have come to the right place.
We occupied #14, a nice fairly large room with modern bathroom facilities, flat screen TV and writing desk, but no
balcony. For the rest of our stay we chose Room #9, an equally large room with huge balcony overlooking the lake.
This room is exceptionally quiet and peaceful. The only noise
you hear is wildlife and nature.
Breakfast is buffet style, served in a lovely dining room with everything you need to start the day. There is also a terrace
where guests can have lunch or snacks. The food is quite good, particularly the fish dishes.
The area has miles of wide bike paths, taking you through
woods, hamlets and along lakes.
We had no difficulties finding the way by car without GPS.
Nearby is Waren, a pleasant place to visit, and Klink, with the
Schlosshotel where the food is excellent and the view from
the terrace overlooking a lake simply stunning.
We had a very enjoyable time and plan to visit again.
