Margaret and Duncan made us very welcome to their homely B&B, after a cracking breakfast, we spent 4 days exploring their wonderful island and enjoying the sea food at various restaurants. When I bemoaned that we hadn't had lobster, Margaret asked if we would like to have supper in, for our last night. Duncan provided the lobsters, Margaret and daughter Michelle cooked us the best lobster salad we have ever had, followed by Banoffie pie. Delicious! Thank you to the whole family for our fantastic stay.

The Richmond Villa B&B in St Margret's Hope is a wonderful B&B with welcoming hosts. It's two minutes drive from the ferry port and 20 mins from Kirkwall. Relaxing stay and a hearty breakfast served. We had a great sleep every night we stayed and will definitely use this B&B again for the next time we are in Orkney.

Me and a group of my friends booked Richmond villa to have 10 friends over for a hen weekend. Margaret who runs Richmond villa was so accommodating she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The villa is very clean, comfortable and like a home from home.
I can't recommend Richmond villa and Margaret as a host enough. She really went beyond the call of duty and helped us in our weekend of fun.

We stayed 3 nights at Richmond Villa and wanted for nothing. We arrived on the ferry on a damp, dark night, on foot and were certainly relieved when we finally found the villa. Margaret is an exemplary host, a font of knowledge and a very good cook. It is great to begin the day with a good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Bus to Kirkwall goes past the door. Quiet area for a good nights sleep.

Richmond Villa is a wonderful place to stay in Orkney. We booked 2 nights and wished we could stay for longer.
The double room was spacious and clean and the en-suite bathroom was spotless and new (great hot water). Margaret is a warm and friendly person and creats a welcoming atmosphere. She also acomedated all our needs (laundry & very very early breakfast), and all of this for a great price.
We highly recommend staying in Richmond Villa!
