Beautiful! Cool escape from the hot south! Great condo, plenty of room...felt like home. Great meals in town. Rented bikes, took a hike along wood walk. Visited the town of Gothic. And of course Mr Jingles at the hardware store!!

We booked a gold level 3 bedroom unit. I would hate to see a silver or bronze level. Kitchen smells from other units permeated into our condo The furniture was shabby and needs updating. Too close to the road so you hear the traffic noise, especially when the bus passes by. Location is good but I would choose an alternative place to stay.

We stayed in a three bedroom unit. There were six of us, part of a large group on two buses. Check in was efficient and the complex had everything we needed. The shuttle to the slopes was convenient, and you could walk if you wanted in about five minutes. Cable TV, a balcony and an outdoor heated pool with a hot tub and a clubhouse. Most of my time was on the slopes, so it suited my needs fine.

We have stayed here both in the summer and the winter.
We rented a 4 bedroom, 3 bath condo. It was called 206B. It was super nice and the price was great. For $250 a night in the summer we would have spent at least double that on hotel rooms.
The condo had a full kitchen with granite, great bathrooms, satellite radio, wet bar, boot dryer - very comfortable.
We named the town "Mayberry". Everyone is so nice, great restaurants, no fast food places in sight, just good old Americana. Not sure if deputy had one bullet in shirt or not.
We love the small town charm. Does not have the commercialization that has overtaken places like Aspen. There is a shuttle that takes you from the condo on the mountain and into town so no worries about drinking.
Highly recommend.

The Chateaux offers an amazing proximity to the slopes with the option to walk, or take a 5 minute shuttle directly into the resort. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, kitchen was more than adequate, and there was plenty of common room for everyone to gather and hang out at the end of the night. We also took full advantage of the heated pool, jacuzzi, and sauna which were a welcome treat after a long day of skiing. Another great service was the free shuttle bus into the town of crested butte. This allowed us some additional options on those nights that none of us felt like cooking, or if we wanted to check out the cute shops and didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding parking.
I was pleasantly surprised by this mountain getaway, and I am sure you will be too!!
