What People are saying

Nice overnight stay

Michelle M on 19/11/2017 20:29

My husband and I stayed here last night for a party. We stayed in a refurbished garden view room which was clean and tidy with well thought out storage. The room, however, was like a furnace and even after turning the radiator off and opening the windows, it was still rather hot through the night. We expected to hear a lot of noise through the night as there is a busy main road outside but, even with the window open, we didn't really hear a lot of traffic.
The bar area was also very hot, but the room we had the party in was cooler with air-con on. The bar prices were reasonable and the buffet had plenty of choice and there more than enough food for everyone. The staff were efficient and discreet all everning.
The breakfast was disappointing though. My husband and I both had a cooked breakfast but neither of us were impressed by it, although the continental breakfast was good.
All in all I would recommend this hotel, but visit one of the many local cafes for breakfast.

Nice stay

Stayed here for 1 night last minute, wanted to walk by sea with the weather being sunny, the Chatsworth is in a perfect location, right opposite the sea front and a short walk to the shops.it has a lovely welcoming feel, cosy and friendly, parking was ok, we did have to wait a couple of minutes for a space. Our room was lovely, small but fine overlooking the small park at the front. Clean bathroom with lovely bath and amazing towels! Our bed was ok but I never sleep well when I'm away, the breakfast was good in the lovely restaurant, overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Room rather tired

I was aware when booking that I was going to get one of the yet to be refurbished rooms so wasn't too disappointed. The refurbished part of the hotel seems quite smart, the rest tired and a little scruffy. The room had been badly repainted at some stage, there were holes in the carpet, cracked tiles in the bathroom, a rather saggy bed, and difficult to control heating. However, it was clean and moderately comfortable, though the TV was quite small. Very narrow bathroom, water pressure not great.
Downstairs I was rather surprised to see all the christmas decorations up (6 Nov)! Breakfast was a decent full english. Having said all the above I only paid £38 incl breakfast, so can't really complain. Handy road parking outside free between 6pm and 9am.

Efficient and just the job!

My wife and I recently had occasion to stay at this hotel on a Saturday night in September. Great location just off the Worthing seafront with the bars and restaurants located in the precinct area only 5 minutes away. We were fortunate enough to be able to park close to the hotel late on Saturday afternoon with the bonus of Sunday being free. Check in was efficient and room was just fine. Breakfast menu was extensive and the food was very good indeed. All the staff we met at this hotel were very helpful and cheerful. The hotel represents very good value for money and we would stay there again.

Wheelchair accessibility

The hospitality/tourist industry needs to wake up to the fact that people with disabilities do travel. This hotel has at least tried which is more than can be said for many. I found the ramp at the entrance is a little steep, but it may well comply with the relevant regulations. It was a bit tricky turning from the narrow corridor through the bedroom door, but we managed. Nice wide door opening outwards into the bathroom, and good none slip floor. Useful raised toilet, but lacking a grab rail on one side, possibly not enough space to fit a drop down rail. The grab rail on the wall being vertical wasn’t much help. There was a useful drop down shower seat fitted, but again there was a lack of rails in a suitable position to help yourself up from the seat. I couldn’t have managed without the assistance of my husband.
