I went with my daughter. Guest house is lovely. Room was really quaint in the eaves. Very clean, great staff and fab breakfast. Only a short stroll into center of ambleside. We left the car and got an open top bus and boat ticket. Went all over from grassmere to Windermere and bowness. Excellent value. Can highly recommend.

Sarah was a fantastic host in this very comfortable B&B. Sarah is the new owner and is trying to build the reputation of Cherry Garth and she deserves to succeed. Ignore the scaffolding, the rooms are really comfortable and the freshly prepared breakfast delicious. It was only a short walk to many pubs and restaurants and was a great base for visiting the Lakes District. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for one night in July the new owners had only just taken it over, the room was a little outdated , the breakfast was very good so no complaints about it,like I say the room was in need of some tlc ,we spoke to the owners and they said it was having a shutdown later on in the year to refurb , maybe I will visit again next year when it is complete.

Excellent B & B. Large bedroom, spotless. Breakfast superb. Highly recommend this B & B. Ideal location for Ambleside and Windermere. Ambleside great for pubs, restaurants, shops and walking. Look forward to visiting again

We arrived and were met by new owners who had been there only a day!!! We felt rather sorry for them but after talking to them we knew they had great vision for the Guest House. We had a loft room and it was fine but certainly needed updating. Obviously previous owners had let the place go a bit!! Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and good locally sourced ingredients for our cooked breakfast. It is in an ideal location with some lovely walks nearby. Give them the new owners a few months and it will be a top place to stay.
