Lanza is a very cozy mountain hotel, full of exposed pine. My room was small, but clean and functional with a wooden balcony with flowers. The bathroom fixtures were modern. There's a game room on the top floor where you can relax, or a restaurant/bar downstairs. I took the combined room-dinner-breakfast ``demi-pension'' option and my meal was delicious, unusually fresh and full of vegetables for France. Breakfast was a nice buffet. The staff were very friendly. Abries is a small village but has a few places to eat and some stores selling mountain gear. However, I would warn that the Queyras is a remote region -- that's its beauty -- and there's not much up these valleys. I was expecting much more choice in terms of places to stay. I had to ask directions to find an ATM machine. I saw just one gas station. As I said, that's the charm of the region but don't expect huge accomodation choices.

Very nice fully renovated room. Dinner and Breakfast outstanding. Friendly service and a great terrace. Ice cream with fresh fruit processed into it was something special. The Queyras region of the French Alps is sun drenched and an unspoiled and unforgettable landscape. Wonderful stop on the GR58 Circuit or base for day hikes.

We had two nights there and loved both. The first night we called rather late, after 9pm after being very disapointed with the Echalp gite down the road and they opened up a room for us after a quick phone call and the young woman who welcomed us was very friendly. The second night a few days later was even better, we had a lovely room with a little balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the room was lovely, very chalet style and very clean, very nice bathroom. The food was outstanding and the welcome genuinely friendly. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

Hotel is located in the centre of Abries. We had a completely renewed room with comfortable beds and a big, clean bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a good bar and the restaurant is delicious. Free WIFI but it only works in the bar not in your room. Good value for a 2 star hotel.

Reasonable prices.
A lot of possibilities immediately in the village.
Near the Viso and other "cols".
The owners’ sympathy, convenience.
Good advice for trips and so on.
