Driving from Spain to England we decided to spoil ourselves.Booked into the Chateau and did expect for the money and reading past reviews to be wowed.
The staff who received us and served breakfast were very nice and good to us.
We booked into the restaurant and had an exemplary meal served in a very professional and friendly manner by a young crew. Pricey but faultless. Probably one of the best meals we have had in France and we aren't youngsters.
To be kind the large bedroom and bathroom could be described as Shabby Chic but with a more critical eye there was a lot of poor finishing if not a little shoddy. The vast hall that extended fully to the top of the Chateau housed swallows that had a free rein and may seem 'sweet' until you used the stone stair banister.
We are all aware of how expensive old buildings cost to maintain but if top dollar is charged the this Chateau does need a little more finish for a return visit.

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday. We had a beautiful room and wonderful attention from the staff. This was our third stay here and it just gets better every time. Our meal at the restaurant Grange aux Oies in the chateau grounds was truly superb. We look forward to our next visit and would thoroughly recommend this beautiful peaceful escape from reality.

If it's a treat you want,you must visit. Delightful location ,just perfect even on a rainy day. All very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Go for the menu gourmand. Aperos or cocktails white wine ,red wine ,water. All included in a very wonderful menu.
For an extra treat you can book a room in the chateau for the night. We were a group of 8 and no one was disappointed.

Stayed here on way back through France. We were greeted by the owners as we pulled up onto the drive and from then on, waited on 'hand & foot' - Beautiful building and grounds complimented by people that really love and understand hospitality. Cannot recommend this Chateau enough.

Amazing Chateau set in country with moat, very warm welcome, excellent rooms, very good food and all staff excellent service. Room 4 on 1st floor complete with turret bathroom and ample room for the 7 foot wide bed plus space for table and several chairs and television.
