Relaxing few days, right on the beach, excellent wifi
Wuit Bon 05/11/2017 09:37We spent 5 days at this rustic resort, combining our visits to Khao Dinsor hill (to observe the famous raptor migration) with some very quiet and relaxing moments on the beach and swimming in the sea, while having practically no other guests around. A sunbed renting service would have been a great addition here though!
The rooms were spacious, clean, with comfortable beds, and Wifi was excellent throughout the premises, but the bathroom was a bit run down. Cracks in the roof of the bathroom caused debris and insects to fall down on the floor, we had a big leak in one of the water pipes once -luckily we were quick to discover it, otherwise the whole bungalow would have been flooded- and one day a snake managed to swim into the toilet bowl, which gave us a bit of a scare of course (first time this happened to me despite years of time spent in all kinds of basic bush accommodations in the tropics).
The beach front restaurant is great for chilling and drinking a mixed fruit juice in the afternoon, but breakfast was average and dinner also not the best we had. There are several small restaurants further up the beach road providing better and much cheaper local dishes.
Nevertheless, due to the great value for money, friendly staff and lovely beach location we wouldn't have to think twice to book here again for our next trip.
Peaceful Getaway
Sirishom Pon 04/09/2017 22:35The resort is so quiet with the best location. We stayed at bungalow in the garden that kept us away and it was so peaceful. Rooms are quite big and very clean.
The reception staffs are all helpful and service mind. The restaurant is with the best view that you can see white peaceful beach and sea. And foods are superb! The staffs here too are very helpful and service mind. But it may sometimes very hot that they have only few fans.
The dive center and staffs are nice too.
A quiet beach resort for those who like the rustic resort.
glenp328on 26/02/2017 03:51The Chumphon Cabana is located on a very nice beach area that is quiet and for those wanting a rustic getaway. The floods in the early part of this year have left the property a bit stressed. This hideaway used to be much better but it appears that the tourist population has been down lately. The resort could stand some much needed maintenance and the restaurant needs people to get back to earlier standards of a couple years back.
Scuba diving, wonderful beach view
marlakoundinyaon 15/12/2016 01:57This resort is very beautiful and completely into nature, I love it rooms are pretty god and food is also very good, vegetarian can prefer. If you want to enjoy your week end it's cheap and quite good.
Good food at their restaurant
Yverbaanon 15/08/2016 03:21Didn't stay at the resort, but had a great meal at the I restaurant the other day. Many local dishes, great taste and friendly staff. Nice setting to at the beach front.
Menu is majority Thai food and all our food had just the correct amount is heat level. ;-)
