LIVING IN A PALACE LIKE HOTEL

Given Rajasthan, a state in west of India, is a place full of palaces, its always an enigma for commoners how the princely life has been led in the palaces. i am not sure how Chunda Palace Hotel compares with other palaces turned into hotels or luxury hotels built on the architectural background of palaces and the lifestyle of the kings and queens for which this land is famous for, it gives a decent experience of living in a palace like environment. Rooms are very large, (the one I stayed on the 3rd floor is large with divans spread out in the upper layer of the room with a neat bed tucked in the lower layer of the room which is decked up with the local flavour and art. The roof top restaurent is very spacious and gives pleasant views of the river and hills. The small minarets carved out as sitting place for break fast for groups upto 4 gives a beautiful view as also privacy for a leisurely morning. The roof top has a place for parties. Breakfast is decent with the staff being very courteous and helpful.
A strange thing that came to my notice for is a princely room and pricey facility, the provisions made in the bath rooms in terms of livery and bath essentials could be termed as primitive as compared to any common budget hotel or a guest house Bath towels are old nearing wear and tear. I had to ask for an extra soap as the smaller sized soap cakes kept in the large bathroom are not enough for two persons and so as the moisturiser or foam bath. A large and enticing bath tub is there by but one does not find bath essentials commensuration with the either size and style of the bathroom
If one ignores these irritants, its a pleasant place to stay, in a neat locality, amidst numerous stores selling crafts and arts. One of the very few hotels where I had a wonderful sleep all the three nights that I stayed in this place.
Recommended for family vacations.
Decent Stay at Palace

I had stayed with my family on 22nd October 2017.
I was initially going to give only 3 stars for this as the in room Jacuzzi we're not working due to Maintenance work which was not informed to us inspite of booking 3 months in advance . The only reason I had booked this expensive palace rooms was to make the stay as a luxury experience for my family.
The only reason for me giving Chunda an extra 4 star is because of the hospitality offered "Mr. Hemant" from the Bar area, as he made a wonderful cocktail Expresso (out of menu) for me just on my request.
He even guided me on places to.visit with timings so I don't miss out
Also we were offered lunch @3.30pm on request inspite of the kitchen. Closing by 3pm
Thank you to the restaurant staff for same

The hotel is gorgeous with numerous Rajasthani details throughout. Our suite was attractively laid our with numerous details that made it clear we were not staying in an average hotel. All of the employees we met whether part of the front desk, dining area or housekeeping were pleasant.
The view of the City Palace or the Lake Palace at night while dining was amazing. The food in the restaurant was very reasonably priced and the service from Hammond, Haneka and others was excellent. Unlike some restaurants which mark up wine prices dramatically, one of the local wines was priced at roughly twice the amount charged by a liquor store down the street.
Beautiful hotel.

Very beautiful hotel reminiscent of old Rajesthan style havelis. The paintings on the ceilings and walls were breathtakingly beautiful. Rooms were big and comfortable. Bathrooms definitely need to be upgraded. Found a cockroach in the bathroom which freaked me out! Service was good. The lighting and view from the terrace was breathtaking. Breakfast was basic and food was good. It is quite close to the attractions. Overall a quaint good hotel.

Had an excellent stay. This place has an amazing architecture and the rooftop dining with the view of the lakes and palaces is out of this world. The staff are so curtious and helpful. We would like to specifically mention Rebec who has an excellent customer service. Thanks for all your help during our stay. Really appreciated.
