I stayed in the oak lodge, I had seen pictures in the website and it looked amazing! However when we got there it was even better the photos made it seem a lot smaller than it was! The bathroom was huge and the beds were ridiculously comfortable!
The owner was such a lovely lady! She was so kind and polite! And offered to help with anything we needed!! I am already thinking of booking for next year!!

The place was very nice but if you are booking it because it has a pool don't . The hrs you can use the pool are so restrictive it is that worth it . There is swimming classes in the pool every day for most of the day. When I complained about the lack of time we could use he pool the owner told me I should have gone on to their web site and read the fine print ( I booked through a booking site) . Also if your with EE there is no phone or Internet coverage . This you may view as a good or bad thing

a really lovely house, beautifully decorated (many things to admire) in an idyllic setting - especially so in Autumn. Chycara is far off the beaten track but only 10 mins from Truro - very unusual these days to be able to completely escape traffic noise. Breakfast was great.

Stopped here for 3 nights whilst touring around Truro and Falmouth. What a beautiful area and the house and grounds are superb. Our hosts were most friendly and helpful and maintained an informative guidebook in the room.
Our room was compact but had space for a comfortable double bed, chairs and en suite bathroom with shower and was more than adequate.
Breakfast was excellent with porridge, cereals and cooked options. Porridge and cooked breakfasts particularly good. The dining room itself was so tastefully decorated and adorned, it made it rather special. Linda was always available for advice but never intrusive.
The only issue we had was the location where various maps and apps were unable to identify the house accurately. Linda sends out directions but we did not receive one, hence the excursions.
In essence a great B&B !
We dined out locally as there is no restaurant on site, and found a number of super fish restaurants.
There is also an indoor swimming pool,and lodges for rent on site but we were out and about each day. Would be superb for the grandchildren !

In Cornwall for a family wedding in Truro-excellent location in countryside just 10 mins drive to Truro. Great lodge gorgeous gardens we all loved it. We have family in marazion and mevagissey - this is also s great central location to visit so many sights of Cornwall
