Simpel, smart - no frill but provide what you need for a good rest

I like the clean, minimalism design, simple yet proper room. I rest very well. The staffs are very helpful and informative, from front desk, bell boys. When I inquired for ironing (prepared for quick service) - I was directed for ironing room, which was very good - as sometimes I just need to iron out some small wrinkles on clothes. This service is beneficial. I enjoyed the massage service in the room, with very well trained ladies. I asked for "kerokan" and yes... got it with very proper handling. Respect to Mrs Tini who helped me curing my "masuk angin"

Stayed for two nights at room 737. The checkin process is quite fast, they even registered my email for accor group customer loyalty program. I can use the computer at the lobby for connecting to the internet. the wifi is quite fast and stable throughout the hotel. the staff also allowed my nephew to bring a glass of welcome drink from lobby to our room :)
Upon opening our room, we found a pleasant surprise, the staff prepared a cake for us in our room (cause we are on honeymoon trip). The room is clean and cool, there are standard tea and coffee making kit. the bathroom is stocked with amenities and there a hair dryer available. the downside is, we found no slippers in our room.
About the breakfast, I think it can be improved again, in term of variety and taste. Some of the food is quite spicy for breakfast and the ibis fried rice is served two days straight. There are no egg station on site so i need to ask the staff for an omelette.
Overall, this was a pleasant and great hotel, which can be improved more. Ibis will be one of my choice to stay in solo.

I stayed on room 546 for one night and I had a great stay. Everything was great and I had no issues. The hotel is a bit ‘hidden’ from the main road of Jalan Gajah Mada. It is not located right in front of the street, so you have to walk a bit to reach the lobby. Not too far though. It is also located near Solo’s main road of Jalan Slamet Riyadi-so easy access to and around the city center. The check in process was quick and the staffs were helpful. This also applies for the check-out process. There is a 24 hour taxi available in the hotel. The front desk will gladly help to call the taxi. The breakfast was quite ok-nothing too special-but tasted good. The Soto Seger was probably my favorite.
One thing I can comment on the room is that it is not too sound-proof. I can hear the footsteps of the guest walking from outside the room (especially when they are stewardess wearing high heels) and a music concert around the location can be heard from (it was Saturday night). It didn’t really bother me though, but this should be an input for the hotel.
Unfortunately, I didn’t try the swimming pool-although it looks nice.
Overall, I’d recommend this hotel in Solo.
Keep up the good work!

Stayed for two nights after quite sometime not visiting Solo. The reception area renovation completed. Reception staff - Ismoyo - greeted us, chatted for a while and was offered Accor membership and welcome drink. Found out that the napkin beneath the glasses was dirty, but Ismoyo quickly called another staff to replace it. Got a nice clean room facing the pool and was called by Ismoyo offering slippers. Found out that the towel smelled smoke, perhaps somebody handling it just smoked kretek cigarette. Ismoyo knocked our door to deliver two food boxes that a relative sent to the hotel. Restaurant staff were all smiles and friendly. We got our omelette order, food were quite a variety and of good quality. The traditional food counters were sidelined behind the bar, should be placed near the Soto counter so as not to be overlooked. The pool was clean and my wife really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work guys!
Average at best

Had stayed at this hotel on several occasions, before. This time I was not impressed. The property is tired and it shows. From stained and dirty carpets, peeling wall paint, calcy bathroom fittings, to noisy aircon. The list is longer. Almost everywhere age is showing and would require a serious makeover. On top of my list was a dirt layer below the breakfast buffet counter. I wonder, how the kitchen looked like. A complete no go and which made me feel not well accommodated. Food taste for me also below par. It appeared to me as if the property is no more well looked after. One asset though still remains : the friendly personnel. But with that alone a hotel can not be welcoming enough. I no longer recommend this hotel.
