What People are saying

Cameron 206 c/o Great Western Lodging

We've been going out to Breck almost every year for about 15 years. We thought this was the nicest place we had stayed in all those years.
The good: the Great Western folks were really helpful, start to finish. Kudos to GW management for hiring great folks. All the little details were well thought out - the kitchen was wonderful, good cookware - not misc stuff from some garage sale. Nice flat panel tvs (all rooms) and wi-fi. The layout of the unit was also really nice; even the remotes (in every room) were labeled with instructions. There's an elevator (great at the end of the day with heavy ski-boots on your feet), underground parking and a double indoor hot-tub. GW provided access to a nearby pool which we did not investigate.
Easy walk to downtown.

The not so good:
It's a bit of walk to the lifts. not really far, but not ski in/out.
The mattresses were pretty soft - not our personal preference.

Would definitely stay there again.

Read unit 404 review for the basics. This unit has no memory foam matress and mattresses need replaced and the carpet needs replaced. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. We hand washes dishes and silverware and wiped kitchen down when arrived. Glad we did as found out dishwasher soap dish sticks so dishes washed only hot water, which there was plenty of got water and space. Not much room in bathrooms. Both bathrooms needed a good scrub. Heated garage great to just throw skis and boots in back of rental SUV. As quiet except for some outside construction noise 1 morning. very walkable to peak 9 if you have teenagers. I carried youngest skis plus mine, youngest carried all the poles. I was going to give 3 stars but then I stayed on the ocean the next week and paid less per night for a 4 star hotel then this place. With new carpet and bedding I would stay again. Easy walk to town. Great Western Lodging also good. Oh yeah, Internet reception spotty at best and main TV had issues but we weren't there to watch TV.

This place is vastly adequate, enormously plain, hugely average. It is big. It is basic, dated and plain. There is plenty of room; there is no luxury. The furnishings are old and cheap. No fine linens in the beds or baths. No decent utensils in the kitchen. The wine glasses seem to be a collection of stems prior guests have "liberated" from local eateries. The kitchen is supplied with plenty of coffee filters, paper towels, dish soap (both for the sink and the dishwasher), very basic utensils and cutlery, salt and pepper. The cheap bed in the master bedroom has been vastly improved by the addition of a memory foam topper that makes it fairly comfortable. The twin beds in the other room are about as cheap and flimsy as they come, but better than the floor. There are extra pillows and blankets. The wood-burning fireplace is stocked with wood and fire-starters. There are plenty of hooks and a bench for stowing ski gear by the door. The deck has views of the surrounding peaks, if you look around the surrounding roofs. It is a short walk to the ski school at the base of peak 9, where we enrolled our son. There are 3 humidifiers which we appreciated, and kept humming the entire time we were there, which helped keep all of us from completely drying out. If you have a lot of hanging clothes, bring hangers, as there are only a few provided. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels for us, I believe there were 4 in each bath, replaced in the middle of our week-long stay. The indoor hot tub was in-operational for the duration of our stay. We used the outdoor hot tub, which we learned too late, once we were steeped in it, was disgusting. They figured out how filthy it was and addressed the issue, meaning it was out of use for the rest of our stay. There is heated parking and coin-operated laundry (I think $1.75 per washer, same for dryer) in the basement. There is no laundry detergent provided, nor offered in vending machines, so bring your own.

Check in/out was on Main St, which seems to be common here, as we've had to do that several times.

I felt this property was WAY overpriced for the quality, but, that said, I would stay here again if, as it was this time, it was all we could find. At least I'd know what to expect. We were traveling with our 7 year old, and he loved it. There are a couple of games, some playing cards, poker chips and 2 jigsaw puzzles.

Amazing Condo!

Arrived in town for a short vacation. The condo we rented at Cimarron was unbelievably well kept, quiet, and convenient. Close proximity to downtown Breck. An October trip to Breckenridge was amazing due to it being mud season, but it was anything but muddy! Can't wait to stay here again!

Very noisy with no privacy

asdfasdfsad on 09/07/2015 22:34

This condo is right on one of the main drags in Breck, and very small balcony has no privacy. You are watching and listening to every conversation and activity in complex right across from condo and looking out over parking lot. Entrance to condo is inside like a hotel. Condo is okay - very haphazard decorating - nothing matches. Looks like they just installed whatever was cheapest. Ground level is nice size and set up with large, well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms almost too small to fit suitcases in, but beds were comfortable. No bath on main living floor.
