Good Road Trip stay for the price

I got the Claridge Inn through a hotwire deal and was pleasantly surprised. I had read the negative reviews and was a little concerned. The front desk clerk was professional and efficient.. The room was good, with double bed, clean bathroom area, and a mini-fridge. Although I don't use the pool, it looked inviting and there were several young people in the pool. The location was very good with a McDonalds next to the motel, plus a Denny's nearby. I was on a road trip to Zion and would stay again at the price point I paid.
Got the Job Done for an Overnight Stay

Nothing fancy to say about this hotel. We stopped here on our way between flying into Las Vegas and driving to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. It was basically our cheapest option at the halfway point and we just needed some beds for the night.
We arrived around midnight and late check-in went fine. In terms of the beds, bathrooms, etc., the quality was comparable to a Motel 6. Nothing fancy, everything the minimum. Since we were so exhausted we didn't need much to just pass out through the night. If you're looking for nicer accommodations, there are plenty of other options available in the area.
Would Not Stay Here Again

This place was rough. Beds were terrible, bathrooms were tiny. Service was horrendous. We checked out quite early in the morning (4:45AM) since we were heading to Zion for sunrise. When checking out, I woke the front desk employee up and she got mad at me! I understand that it's early and I have no problem with you sleeping but to get mad at me for waking you up to check out? That's ridiculous. Would not stay here again even with the price.
Just gross.

Clarified Inn is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. We literally had to ask to have our room cleaned after two nights of it not being cleaned. We noticed the comforter was stained, which creeped us out anyways...so when it finally got "cleaned" they just put the same comforter back on the bed. The dead bolt on the door was broken, there was a patched hole in the wall that hadn't been painted...it just felt yucky. The only decent thing about this place was the friendly front desk people that were helpful. Won't be staying here again.
Serviceable

The room smelled a bit musty. Housekeeping could use air fresheners.
There is no shampoo provided, just a thin bar of soap that breaks as soon as you drop it, which you will.
All the rooms face outside to the world, which means no security.
There is no free breakfast, but McDonalds is next door.
The front desk agent was friendly, efficient and quick.
The beds are on the firm side, but fairly comfortable.
Thankfully the fan doesn't go off every time someone goes in the bathroom and the a/c doesn't have to be on auto, which can be disruptive. And it's not super noisy, either. Another plus.
I would stay here if the price is in the $60 range, but probably not if it was $75 or above.
