Hubby & I stayed overnight for a family gathering on Saturday Nov 11, 2017. Upon return to the Clarion Inn, I noticed that the back door to get in to the hotel was NOT locked, but, it was not yet dark, so I wasn't too concerned....UNTIL....I asked the evening desk employee, "What time do you lock the back door to the hotel?", and was told, (and I quote!): "Oh, we NEVER lock the back door....we have plenty of cameras. What is your concern here?" So I told the employee that cameras will NOT stop anyone who wants to come in, disguised, and do whatever is on their heart to do. I told her I was going to go up to my room and call Clarion Customer Service number, which I did. The person at the Customer Service took my information and gave me a Reference #, and put me on hold to check with the evening desk employee. When she came back on the line, the Customer Service person told me that the evening employee had told her that this was a "safe area" and I had nothing to worry about. Well, yes, Cornelius, NC IS known to be a "safe area", but when has THAT ever stopped anyone if they are determined to do anything??? PLUS.....the Charlotte Airport is about a 20 minute drive from here, and you know....the airport employee that just got arrested & fired for having a HOMEMADE PIPE BOMB thingy???? So WHO KNOWS??? Anyway, the lack of security & safety is a HUGE CONCERN to me here....after all, this back door DOES HAVE the key slot, so what's the big deal about locking the back door after dark??? ANYONE can get in, and immediately walk up the back steps....UNSEEN to any of the other floors!!! So, there you have it. STAYER BEWARE!!

They are doing renovations but was quiet for sleeping. The wifi never stayed connected, just glad my cell phone provider had good service. The jets in the tub, the reason we picked this hotel, didnt work. We called the front desk and never heard back from them. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. I would not go back until the renovations are complete unless you just want a place to sleep.

When I read that there were renovations taking place I expected some disruption. I could not describe the renovations as any inconvenience at all.
The staff were friendly and accommodating in every way. The rooms were large and clean. The breakfast area was spacious and the buffet was well stocked.
The value was excellent. I would stay here again.

I have a daughter at a local college, and so ended up returning to this hotel despite having some reservations. I'd like to say my room was clean and updated, and every staff member was professional and friendly. They were doing some remodeling in the breakfast room area but that wasn't a problem, and the breakfast was very good.

If it weren't for the fact I have to actually give a rating, it would definitely be none - I'm so angry right now . . . after disputing a second night billing and eventually getting it credited back on my card, I find out this place rebilled me for a night we didn't even use! Hell, we didn't even use the FIRST night! We checked in and checked out in the space of 30 minutes! STAY AWAY. . .FAR FAR AWAY!!! Yes Marchetta, you know who this is!
