Harrowing stay at the Classic Regency

I with my family was on trip to A& N from 20.10. 2017 to 27.10.2017. I reached Port Blair on 20th October, 2017 and stayed at Classic Regency from 20.10.17 to 21.10.17 and again from 25.10.17 to 27.10.17 (morning). Our package was booked through Travel Triangle, Gurgaon and we thought that the hotels and other services would be good but it turned out to be a bitter experience. My family included three daughters, me and my spouse and were given two rooms. The roooms TV were not working. On repeated request the TV could start in the evening. All the electrical sockets were undersize and so we could not attach our mobiles for charging . The breakfast was the same on 21.10.17 and 26.10.17 viz., poha and chola puri and half baked bread. On the 22.10.17 we had to go to Havelock and on 26.10.2017 we were going to Baratang Limestone caves and the hotel gave us raw bread with fruity pouch in the name of breakfast (Breakfast was in the package of the hotel). Moreover, the cistern in the toilet was defective and water was continuously flowing from the cistern. On repeated complaints, the defect was not rectified. The hotel staff were very lazy and if you placed tea order in room, it came after one hour. There was no Wi-Fi in the hotel. It is total wastage of time and money to stay in this hotel. Travellers are advised to look for some other decent hotels.

This place sits in number one place of all the accommodations i stayed till now. We were doomed by our travel agent and unfortunately landed up here. Rooms are cramped and untidy, poor room service, no wifi..what not everything is pathetic. Deserves just 1/5 but had to give an 2/5 for the biryani and fish curry they serve, the only soothing part in our entire stay at this place.
Good Hotel

Located a bit outside the Port Blair. Hotel serves complimentary breakfast. One side rooms have balcony & the other side does not have it. Cheap hotels with South Indian dishes are available within 200 meters.
GOOD QUALITY OF ROOMS AND THE AMENITIES.

Our room were too good, nice ambience, very clean and neat. even the hotel corridors was clean. Restaurant was not up to the mark. They must keep their restaurant out side or up stairs, ambience was little dull.
Excellent service an restaurant, small room

We were 2 families staying for 4 nights. We found the hotel excellent in terms of friendliness and service quality. The food at the restaurant was also very good, and especially suitable for the children who cannot take spicy food. The front desk was also very responsive. I would rate the service much superior to many 3 star hotels I have stayed.
The checkout time is unusually early (7.30 am). However, when we requested for a late checkout (since our return flight was scheduled in the afternoon) they allowed the same readily, only with a request to be ready to evacuate after 10.00 if there is a case of early check-ins of guests in large number.
The rooms were small with hardly any decor, but very clean and functionally OK. I am not sure why but the AC had some sort of timer and would start about 5 minutes after switching them on. This can be an irritant to some.
