The hotel is great, staff is very kind and professional. Rooms are cosy and very clean. It is definitely the place to stay in Paestum and I have already booked again for next summer.

We have spent a nice 5-days time at the Clorinda hotel this July 2017. I found it to be reasonably modern, clean and comfortable. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, with a good English knowledge.
Breakfast was various but not awesome, usual continental fare. I wish I had larger choice...just a few fruits were available and the English breakfast was not of high standards.
Bar service is excellent although there was only 1 person working all the time. I think the hotel needs a larger stuff number. Bar prices were cheap. The swimming pool area was very nice, clean and well maintained although the bar was open only a couple of hours throughout the day.
The double room was rather small, with a not-properly-working shower inside a mini-toilet. The bed was very comfortable and the air-condition excellent. The balcony and the clothing stands were small but OK. Also, there was only 1 plug socket in the room and 1 in the toilet...both a bit obsolete.
I consider the hotel good for people who really need to rest. Although a few little kids will annoy you a bit by the swimming pool. There's no service nor help by the pool. There's no entertainment throughout the day or the evening, no mini club or music. Although, they have something that they call special event on Saturday night which to me didn't seem special at all. Just medium-quality meat meals and piano bar afterwards.
There are a couple of bars and restaurants at walking distance (a mile or less). It typically costs 30 euros for each person for either lunch or dinner. More expensive than usual southern Italy if you know where to go.
The beach was nice with a lovely bar which provided good pizzas at lunch. Unfortunately it was windy.
I would recommend this hotel but you will need a car to get around the area unless you just won't to relax - in which case you better do full-service including all meals - if you can afford it.
Again, Paestum ruins are not far away but you'll need the car to get there. I think they provide some internal bus/taxi service. Also, they provide some bikes to cycle around but you aren't allowed to go to far.
I consider this hotel a great place for people who just want to rest. The staff is what I like the most. However, if you aim to have a lot of fun in a cosy / entertaining place then you better look elsewhere.

We flew to Naples,picked up a hire car and drove down to Paestum (about 90miles). Italian driving was an experience !
We found The Clorinda to be a modern,clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, all spoke English at varying levels which showed up my lack of Italian.
Breakfast was ok, usual continental fare, they told me there was an English breakfast option but warm Parma ham and scrambled egg didn't do it for me.
Bar prices were cheaper than most hotel's I've been to before.
The pool area was very nice, clean and well maintained.
There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance (a mile or less) ,all very cheap, as was most of southern Italy.
We didn't go to the beach but I think it was about a mile away ?
I would recommend this hotel but you do really need a car to get around the area.
Paestum ruins are not far away and are well worth seeing, there are plenty of bars and restaurants next to the ruins, a great place to spend a warm evening watching the sun go down.

The hotel is from mid 1970''', and have never been renovated. And the rooms was small and dark.
The staff was a sad experince. No English, no smiles....
However it was cheap, well kept and clean and they did there best...!

We have just been for a week at this hotel which was sold to us as a four star , however the realty is that this hotel is even below 3 star. The bathroom is very small that whenever I used the toilet I will have my legs pressing against the shower cover. The breakfast was always the same and limited .The fruits were always of 3 rd class quality. The lunch had a good first plate, than the second was always below expectations. On the plus side the hotel has a big pool and also has seaside facilities. I will not use this hotel again.
