Club Mahindra at Naukuchiatal is a nice quiet place. The place is old and in need of some renovation but it is understood that this property is on lease and not owned by club mahindra.
The location is good - right next to the lake and there are adventure activities to be done which can be done right from the hotel itself. The rates at the resort are higher than what you may get outside due to taxes.
We did canoeing and a trek. It was really nice and highlyrecommended. Luckily there was no tourist rush when we had gone in end sep and that added to our experience.
The club mahindra resort has little to offer and the fun zone was quite sad. my 13 yr old was disappointed and couldnt find anything worthwhile there.
there re several nice restaurants close by which deliver food to the resort and can be used as an alternative to resort fare

After visiting various properties of Club Mahindra across India, we found our experience at CM Naukuchaital a bit of a let down.
Its a small property offering only 30 Studio rooms. Infact, six rooms are presently under renovation.
Rooms are nice. Unfortunately they do not have balconies. The water pressure at the taps was not consistent. Many a times, we found it pretty low.
Furnishing etc was clean, Housekeeping service was prompt. The property is spread over a very small area. The landscaping around the property was the worst I have noticed so far when compared to other Club Mahindra properties. Naukuchiatal Lake can be accessed from the resort. However, exercise caution! The path is not well maintained & had shrubs etc.
The staff at Front Office, Housekeeping & restaurant was courteous & attentive. However, we never got any call from the Fun Zone about the events been organised during the evening. Neither were the events displayed at the Front Office etc. The same happened for Dusshera event. There was no communication about the event! Ravan's effigy was burnt quietly without any efforts by the staff to involve the guests. This was so unlike our experience last year at Club Mahindra Kandaghat where the staff had put in so much efforts to make Dusherra enjoyable for its guests!
Food was okay as expected from Club Mahindra. Chef Devendra would often interact with the guests to take the feedback. Holiday Executive, Mr Arvinder was pretty helpful too. He took us through the new properties offered by Club Mahindra & suggested ways to make best use of our membership.
The property offers decent parking area for the guests.
Overall a nice experience. We would, however, prefer to visit other Club Mahindra properties for our repeat visits before considering Naukuchiatal.
For our onward journey from Delhi, we took Tanda-Bazpur route. It had local traffic & potholes at few stretches. On our return journey, we came through Ramnagar & found the route longer by 30 kms but much better!

I have been vising CM Naukuchiyatal often. Of late there has been a lot of inconsistency in services, property and processes. Being a leased properties it stands out and offer poorer service than the owned ones of Mahindra. As a customer, guests are not bothered with "passing the buck" between Landlords and CM.
Kovind (FO agent) was prepared with the checkin details and offered us the room (#101) of our choice. Though the construction was going on in adjoining rooms, but the same did not bother us as the project team carried out the work cautiously.
Resort Hospitality, courtesy and responsiveness of the staff was a little cold. Fun Zone looses out on score as they didn't take extra effort to engage our 3 yr old kid. Often our kid was seen roaming around the property with no attendant. She would climb 3 floors alone which was a safety concern.
Quality and Maintenance of furnishing, linen, toiletries and kitchenware in room were ok if not top of the line. Though there were marks on the linen but the sheets were clean. HK staff was responsive and prompt.
Variety of food is good, but not the presentation. Crispy items on the buffet were soggy, dishes were not refilled in time and guests had to wait long. 4 Fulkas took over take 45 min. and this is not only 1 day, but consistent. Not sure if it is a Service problem or the supply from Kitchen.
No recreational activities or Indoor & Outdoor Games for kids. Outdoor activities are outsourced which charges a premium as compared to the prevailing rates, but they do ensure safety when we are talking about activities like paragliding. As a process failure, evening entertainments are listed but not carried out. No evening phone calls were received to intimate / invite the participants for activities. No female staff in the entire resort to attend kids. Male staff is engaged in filing reports and attending meetings.
The goods:
GM Mr. Sharma is always on foot and so is Mr. Devendra the Executive Chef. Both are committed to service and give their best. Ashutosh the Housekeeper is available on floor checking for rooms himself.
Location of the resort is awsome and so is its proximity to the lake.

The location is on the edge of Naukuchiatal lake, quite and decent place. its not a resort but a 2-3 star hotel. Room are good and many are having lake view. Food at Restaurant was good. Co-operative staff

The club Mahindra Naukuchiatal tal is a wonderful property in Bhimtal . Perhaps that is why it gets less attention from hotels around Nainital.
The hotel itself is situated bang in the middle of peaceful mountains and a beautiful beautiful lake - Naukuchiatal.
The property is so beautiful and has so many adventure activities to do that you don't need to go anywhere else . Kayayking boating , 4 wheeler motorcycles and exciting treks . The staff conducting these activities is the most courteous and hardworking group of men I have ever seen . If you have a vehicle with you please go around and take a stock of the area around the hotel . I was lucky to be allowed to pluck some delicious green apples . You can also make a quick day trip to Nainital and be back by evening.
When you finally leave do take blessing of Hanuman ji in the nearby temple . Temple is majestic and you can not miss the " idol of Bajrangbali" . Do go inside the temple and meet the priest . He will give you a quiz on spiritual life that you most likely going to flunk but it is an experience worth having .
That's it from my side . Enjoy . Ok ,one word of caution - keep your window locked at all times at the hotel - too many monkeys around . They may take your phone or specs or anything loose lying around.
