I spent many years in buzzards bay as a young kid, finally went back with my wife for a week.
I have to mention if you want a true cape cod cottage and very clean you need too stay here, the family owned bay inn is all you need.
If you bike or fish or even like walking the canal is right across the street, there's beaches restaurants and bowling alley and parks with evening concerts on weekends an ice cream stand right next door.
If you have a dog no problem either hand selected customers and private friendly and very safe environment too, nice pool and everything anyone would need in walking distance.
I would highly recommend this place for a night or a week, you'll never get a better nights sleep either will be back every chance we get.
Great experience enjoy a definite diamond in the rough.

Our first visit I was skeptical but found it to be great. It is very basic but so clean. The owners are very nice. They allow you to bring your dog. they also have a clean pool to cool off in after the drive. Nothing fancy but perfect for us.Easy on and off the highway but far enough away to be very quiet. Easy acess to the Cape Cod canal walking path.

My son and I travelled to Buzzards Bay this weekend on the CapeFlyer. We chose this motel because of the rate and location, which is walking distance from the train station. We found the motel to be a great value for the rate, considering it's peak season. The owners genuinely care about their guests' experience, and treated everyone as family. They went out of their way driving us to and from the Shining Sea Bikeway in North Falmouth. We also biked the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway, with trail access just across the street. Several restaurants within walking distance. The location has a nice community feel - we felt safe walking around at night. Many of the guests come annually, and we'll be back, too!

Ok this little place has more pros than cons. My son and I stayed in a room with two beds on June 11, 2016. First when we got there, the owner was extremely nice to us. The rooms are actually separate little cabins which was nice. The outer décor of the place was kept up with and seemed nice. The inside of the room was spotless. Extremely clean. Rugs appeared to be new. Beds were nice. The drawbacks to the room were that there were a lot of Daddy Long Legs and a boat load of caterpillars-the gypsy moth kind. Gross. I did not take any stars away because of this is not the owners' fault, but I feel people need to know in case it's a dealbreaker for them. We only stayed one night, and I barely slept because the musty smell was so intense. I went to the local store and bought car air fresheners and hung them around the room. My son sprayed his cologne. When we first got there the door and windows were wide open, so it was probably to air it out. I did not complain about the smell as I don't think they could have done anything about it. We only stayed one night, and it was cold and rainy, so we did not use the pool. The pool area appeared clean and had plenty of tables and chairs. Another great thing is that every room was next to the pool. Most likely no matter which room you are assigned, you are next to the pool. The location of the Inn was the best. Right next door was burger/hot dog joint. Walking distance was Cumberland Farms. Walking distance was bowling alley. Lots of restaurants on the strip in both directions. I did find it pricey. $149 for one night.
In summation, I think most people would enjoy it. I am not sure I would stay again because of all the bugs and the musty smell. Four stars because it was best place as far as inn/motel experiences.

Great intown location, which makes this inn great, close to everything one would be interesting in seeing.
The owners were exceptionally nice.
The rooms no frill.... but very, very clean.
Worth staying here if you are in the area
