Stopped in Seward on our way to Utah. Nice, clean motel with many amenities. Walking distance to McDonalds and a convenience store for our early morning coffee. Nice people in Nebraska! Got permission from the pastor in the church next door to park our 26' U-Haul that was towing a trailer in their adjacent parking lot.
Decent hotel

My room was nice, clean and comfortable. While there is no real restaurant in walking distance it is within McDonald's and Casey's. Parking for large vehicles, in hotel bar. The breakfast was minimal and attention to keeping it full lacked but I would stay here again.
Decent for the price

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our trip. Room was clean, shower was hot, breakfast was decent. Would have been nice to have an elevator to drag all our luggage in, but oh well. No other complaints. Would stay again if we go out that way again.
Great bed! Beware of the little things!

Staff treated us well but we had a question about a silly $1.87 charge and that it says it will be taken off. WAS NOT TAKEN OFF MY BILL. The woman at check out said she took it off but then it showed up on the bill. Complaining about that small amount may be petty but for every room they book it's an extra $2 they make. Charge for pet was $25. Book in room says $15. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THAT! Black mold in bathroom suggests a need for a better shower curtain so wall doesn't get soaked. It was room 120, on wall behind bathroom door. I hope the mold is taken care of. Our carpet had stains which I assume were from pets and I understand that they put us in this room because of our dog. But a little effort to clean the carpet goes a long way. Lights on outside of building are ridiculously bright and curtains DO NOT block it out. May be better on higher floors. Needs a good vacuuming behind and under furniture. Found a pill under the bed. If a child finds it and gets sick they will have a lawsuit. Believe it or not the bed was great.
Best Hotel in Seward!

I reserved directly with the hotel for 2 nights in August. Our room was spacious, just fine, well furnished and in good repair. But a few things irked me about this stay. The place allows dogs in the rooms. The breakfast is understaffed and wanting. The desk clerk is apparently expected to manage phone calls, check outs AND the breakfast room. Both mornings the coffee ran out regularly, trash containers overflowed, no spoons, the pre-cooked eggs were gone... all this at 8 am, prime time for breakfast. The Day manager comes in at 9, parks her BMW under the front canopy in the shade, blocking half the driveway for arrivals and departures.
The pool looked nice, McDonalds is right next door. I have little reason to ever return to Seward, Nebraska, but I think the Cobblestone is better than the other place in town.
