Husband and I stayed in pod hotel Friday and yesterday. Room was small but with comfy double bed, white fluffy towels, shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely clean bathroom and hot shower. TV signal was a bit iffy but who goes to Liverpool to sit in room watching TV? Had 2 good nights never heard a sound from others in hotel. Only a short walk into town and central station. We would stay here again.

I booked a windowless room for two nights. The room was clean and the shower was good. The room was small but I expected that.
At first I thought it was a very good price for a city center location and advertising latest technology rooms.
However. I was disappointed. It did have a docking station but we could not use it as it was the really old iPhone connector. Useless if you had a new iPhone or an android phone!
It advertised free wifi. We could not get the wifi as the signal was too poor in our room.
And a tv. Again the signal was that poor we couldn't get signal for the tv.
It served a purpose. But I don't think I'd book the room again. I found it weird and uncomfortable sitting in a small tiny room with no windows. Almost claustrophobic. And I wasn't in the room that much but definitely couldn't spend any longer there. And I couldn't switch on the tv for back ground noise, music channels, or just a distraction. Felt very weird being totally locked out of the outside world. But that may just be me.
As I said it was clean. And the shower was really good. Decent sized bathroom. Just didn't offer what was advertised for £55 a night. No signal, tv or wifi available.

The shower didn't work nor did extractor fan in a windowless room, they wouldn't relocate us to another room because they were full, they would not refund my second room which I had booked but my Friends couldn't make it, they were full, but couldn't relocate me but charged me, really? Didn't make beds up, had to ask for clean towels. So they obviously relet my second room but wouldn't refund me. I feel that they were very greedy doing this considering the poor condition of the room I stayed in. Disappointed with condition but the staff were pleasant and friendly.

Not a bad little place....we were downstairs an had no windows in the room an we had a nightclub blasting music till 5am....place is a bit of a maze an could easily get lost in it...beds were comfy enough an the place was clean and tidy.....

Booked as it was a last minute booking for work, most hotels were fully booked and i didn't want to pay £120 / £150 per night, ended up paying £55 per night for a double room, let's just say the alarm bells were ringing form the outset, the reception was scruffy and needs a good clean and touch up, when you go to your room in the basement you can't help but notice the smell of excrement in the air, quite off putting, then the room, good size, but the bed has to be the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in, a black spot for phone signal and no WiFi, though they do have in it public areas, the shower was weak and then had to put up wit this blue light all night, apparently a health and safety feature but having stopped in the pod works, a similar concept, this is not something they have keeping you awake most of the night. No i Pod dock as per advertised and the TV didn't work, well i couldn't get it to work on the 1st night, did complain but nothing done about the bed and managed to have BBC news on the TV the second evening... would i stay again NO i would recommend paying that little bit extra for a nicer location and a better bed for the night, staff friendly enough - if i was a traveler or student it would not have bothered me.
