Do yourself a favor and don't stay here

Terrible experience. Waited 30 minutes in the "lobby" for the rude man to check us in. Showerhead in the sink. Tiny room. Disgusting Chungking Mansion. Location was the only redeeming part of this guesthouse. Don't stay here!!!
Its cheap

This place is terrible, the only thing it has going for it is the location. The rooms are small, very small. The shower only ran on hot, there is no cold water adjustment at all so its either scalding or tepid; the toilet is cramped and only inches from the wall in front, the tap dripped constantly. One very thin towel each was provided for our 3 night stay and only one toilet roll. Chung King Mansion is a very seedy place, every time we stepped onto the street we were immediately accosted by touts trying to sell something, the rubbish is not cleared away, it smells and the whole place is filthy. The doorman was very dodgy, I payed him one amount then when we wanted a bigger room he suddenly didn't have any change even though I had just given him some in the first payment. He had to go elsewhere to get change and then tried to give me the wrong amount - twice. Every request was met by a "there are procedures first" reply; meaning he needed instructions over the phone from some one else, and he obviously wasn't employed to clean or do laundry which was piled up everywhere. The photos on websites do not match reality.
I wouldn't let my wife go down onto the street without me too many strange men hang around here at all hours; if I was a single female I would steer well clear.
Box room

The best way I can describe this room is as a box room, could not swing a cat in it. Stayed for 2 nights and it was just acceptable but the location was very good, right on the Main Street near lots of tube stations. It's in a block of flats of sorts where the ground level is an Indian market, if you don't like the smell of curry this is a no for you! Only 1 lift which can be a pain as it does take ages and you're on the 9th floor. Both air con and fan in room which was fine (never seen an air con like this, may have been made in 1800's - but worked ok). Shower is right above toilet so not sure how you are meant to shower unless you sit on the toilet as there is no other space?! Minimal staff interaction but what we did was fine. We paid £44 GBP for 2 nights so if u can find cheaper then I would say go elsewhere.
Overall, quite acceptable price

Room was not that clean, but it was really cheap compared with other single room located in Central Hong Kong. Other value hostel don't provide free wifi service, but they do provide as free!
Also Check-out was really convenient, they don't really care about check out procedure, they just asked me to put the key in the room and free to go! and even no DEPOSITS!
Very good

Rooms very neat and clean. Free wifi, breakfast was not available. Very reasonable price. Near indian / Pakistani Restaurents, situated in main city. Staff was nice in services and guidance. Over all very good experience. Visited Jan 15.
