I stayed here 10 years ago when it was an exclusively gay male guesthouse and it was great! Now, the hotel is open to all and is just gay friendly. It’s still a beautiful resort with an AMAZING staff, but it’s distance from the center of San José makes it a rather inconvenient location for anyone wanting to experience the gay nightlife of the city. When it was all gay, it was easier to overlook this, but now one might as well stay at one of the many other gay friendly establishments located within walking distance of downtown. I enjoyed the staff IMMENSELY and while my room was clean and spotless, the bed was rather hard and the pillows were not very comfortable. If you just want a place to relax, then perhaps Colours is what you’ll like but know that now it is just another nice hotel and is not exclusively for gay men anymore. Also, there isn’t much in the way of restaurants or shopping near by. Cabs or Ubers are required for most trips away from the property.

Cute boutique hotel in San Jose. Very friendly staff, beautiful pool and bar area. The room was clean and comfortable. They serve a breafast waith ypur choice of different options that was good. They also serve dinner, but we didn't try it. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed at this hotel with my friend from Costa Rica, not even a hi or how are you? when we were at the main desk when we checked in as walk in guest! , the room that we had it was located in the back side of the hotel, where a garage was located with broken plastic chairs like a stock room! Besides that I think that this place has a very good potential. Over all is nice for one or two nights.

My wife and I stayed here on 3 nights as we toured Costa Rica. Once the repairs to the road bridge were completed the trip from the airport was around 20 minutes. The hotel offered a shuttle at $29 each way. We ate dinner there twice and the food was fine. Our first room was a little cramped and neither had an external window but they were clean and comfortable. The pool was small but OK. The staff were very friendly and complimentary coffee and tea were available 24 hours a day. Overall, very good value for money.

The staff is nothing but helpful the drinks are reasonable Andy and Jesus were nothing but polite and personal everything that they could possibly do to make you feel as though this place is your home away from home will definitely be staying here when in San Jose
