Pretty good
rozzuon 25/10/2017 19:41Here for 3 nights. The bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and nice selection. (The biscuits were soft and warm. Wish they included apple butter but jelly was ok.) Easy check in and out, pleasant front desk personnel. I did not like passing by the laundry room on my way to the elevator, it made the hallway hot, steamy with an odd smell. Wish there was another route to the 2nd floor and higher. Overall, quality hotel for the price. Will definitely stay again.
Extremely well-managed property
classicaphiliaon 22/10/2017 15:02Everything is done right here. The manager is sharp as a tack, anticipates your needs, and addresses them. The front desk people he has hired are excellent. The young woman we dealt with most is a hospitality student at VT. She has a very bright future. The interior and exterior are well-maintained. We will return if we return to Blacksburg.
Pleasantly surprised
Tom Lon 02/10/2017 14:24I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Blacksburg the weekend of September 23rd/24th and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I read some of the negative reviews and was leery about booking but this was the only hotel with rooms available for this football weekend. The room was clean and the bathroom was upgraded and looked like a five star hotel bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were well maintained and clean. I guess the only negative I can give was the complimentary breakfast. No eggs. But hey, its free so how much can you complain? Overall, a nice stay and about five miles from the VT campus. Yes, I would stay here again. Thanks to the staff for making this a comfortable stay.
Great location, recent updates
Michele Don 10/09/2017 01:15Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location if your visiting students at Virginia Tech or Radford. It is close to restaurants and downtown area. The breakfast is average, nothing great. The fare is average but is included in your stay. Eggs were not good at all, I would skip these. The room was nice, roomy, updated, linens were in like new condition, clean and spacious. Not much other seating besides the bed, but plenty of room for multiple family members. The bathrooms were updated but the grout was not done well at all. This was the only place I would note that needed improvement.
VT Corps of Cadets Visit
James Son 08/09/2017 21:22We stayed here to visit the VT Campus. It was close to Tech and reasonably priced. The breakfast was lack luster with few options and crowded. The room was quiet and clean and everything worked. The staff was friendly enough. I might stay here again. It is a bit of a way from campus but close enough.
