Great Stay for Family Weekend

I was pleasantly surprised at the Comfort Inn. My room was not one of the recently renovated rooms, but I was very pleased. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were terrific! They really went above and beyond in customer service. John, the manager, is involved in all aspects of the hotel runnings day to day and is very attentive to customer satisfaction. I enjoyed the short walk to Uptown. I will definitely stay here again.
Good room for area, price a bit much for accommodations

We have stayed at 4 different hotels in area and would say this is squarely in the middle. Rooms are better than expected, beds comfortable and even have a fridge and microwave. Rest of hotel space is a bit dated and room can sometimes be noisy.
Close to university, good parking and easy access. Price is moderate for accommodations.
Don't bother with free breakfast just walk next door and pay for something decent at Bob Evans.
Staff very nice and accommodating.
Comfort Inn in Oxford, Ohio

Recently my husband and I spent 3 nights at the Comfort Inn in Oxford, Ohio. When we arrived, we were assigned a room that did not have a bathtub but only a shower. Due to some Physical Therapy exercises, I need to soak in hot water every night. The manager, John Roberts, was very helpful and moved us to a room with a tub. This was not a fun trip for myself as I had to say good bye to a sister who is under Hospice care. John was very helpful in many ways. He was the type of manager that helped out in the breakfast area clearing plates and helping with food. The food lady, Vicki, was very helpful and the food area was very clean. There was plenty of healthy food for my health conscious self. Tiffany who cleaned our room was also very sweet and helpful.
College Visit to Miami, Below average Hotel

I took my son to visit colleges in Ohio and Indiana the weekend of the 19 & 20th. We started our adventure on Thursday the 17th and stayed at a Comfort Inn in Indiana at Rensselaer--it was beyond clean, staff were excellent and had a great breakfast. We went onto Oxford Ohio, where I had booked one of the last rooms available for the 18th and 19th. Although the room was clean as was the bathroom and sheets, the halls were dirty and desperately needed to be vacuumed. The overflowing trash that I saw by the washer and dryer on Friday was still there on Sunday morning. The housekeeping staff never came in Saturday morning to clean our room/make beds or give us new towels. Saturday night when we returned from visits I contacted the front desk who was very responsive and brought up towels, I asked if it was typical practice to not clean rooms and she assured me it wasn't and that I should talk to the manager in the morning. The manager was responsive to my discussion and did discount the bill; however with some improved housekeeping staff and follow-up by the manager I believe this could be a much better hotel. Breakfast needs to be vastly improved to meet standards of other Comfort Inns.
Ear plugs needed!

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, paper thin walls.
I paid $199/night because it was Miami move in day. After a stress filled day of moving my first born to college. I needed some sleep. Well, that did not happen. I had a lady next room was coughing, hacking and spitting all night long. It was the spitting that drove me over the edge. Well, maybe it was the nose blowing. Then she talked on the phone and it was NOT to a doctor to get cold medicine! If you are curious, she was encouraged someone to become a certified yoga instructor which was very sweet but not at 12 am. I could hear her like she was in the room with me.
The hotel could not move me because they were sold out. They did not have ear plugs and I could not find any stores open near by that had any. I would have been better off sleeping in my car or in a van down by the river.
The white noise on my phone did not help and the air conditioner would not stay on to drown out the spitting! So bring ear plugs!
Night from hell! I want to cry! Ok, I cried. That did not help.
