The worst ever

Very dated hotel but staff at front desk seemed professional at check in. First room was invested with bugs (Ants). Moved to another room and later found ants in our room again. Manager denied the problem with bugs, insinuated the bugs followed me and came with can of toxic chemical to spray. That was it. We moved to much nicer, lower priced option a couple doors away. Terrible experience.
Just OK

Needs building maintenance on the exterior. Interior mostly out of date. Furnishings also out of date. Mattresses just ok, not great. Breakfast ok, kind of minimal. On the plus side, it's clean and linens are clean and fresh. Also linens well supplied. Never short of needs.
Very clean and the room had a cushioned window seat.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They offered a continental breakfast. it was close enough to fast food places to get something to eat at night. Easy access on and off the highway. The first time we had a room with a cushioned window seat. That was a nice touch. Would stay there again on our next trip.
Comfortable room

Clean and large rooms. Breakfast area was small. Eggs looked rubbery. There was only one waffle maker. Good WIFI. Stayed one night traveling from Monterey to San Jose. Staff was nice. Parking lot didn't seem or feel dangerous as previous reviewer said. Never keep valuables in the car to begin with even at home. Indoor pool with jacuzzi was nice.

Dangerous parking lot, I was told by front desk after we checked in. The manager said we were on our own and there had been recent car breakins and that the Hotel did not provide security. Then the pool fiasco with the pool water cool and not "Heated", the jacuzzi jets not working and the jacuzzi water cool not hot by any standards. Then the poolside showers cold and not hot. My wife and daughter were very disappointed so they went up to our room for a nice bath but no stopper for the tub, so no bath either. The front desk informed us that the shower / tubs were not equipped for baths but she would try to find something and would call me right back. After ten minutes of waiting I went down to find her just sitting there and when she saw me she went off to look for a stopper, and what she returned with did not work. Also the bath sink countertop was very small with very little room for toiletries. The room was also smaller than we're accustomed to with Choice. This Comfort Suite does not have a business center and the morning breakfast was very sad, complete with rubbery pre-fabricated eggs sunny side up and rubbery sausage. Only two kinds of fruit, a couple oranges and apples but no bananas or other enticing fruit offerings. None of us ate any of this stuff but I opted only for the coffee for me which by the way is only served during this 2.5 hr. Period. After that, there is no more coffee available in the Hotel Lobby. This violates Choice Standards & Practices because coffee is required throughout the day and evening for arriving guests as part of the many protocals to reach Comfort Suite Hotel status. Upon check out I expressed each and every one of these items to the daytime manager and I was met with excuses, deflections, anger and defiance (real phony nasty attitued) but not once was I offered and apology. CHOICE should retrain the entire staff beginning with the General Manager who has allowed this hotel to become so disappointing.
