Our first point of contact with cascades was to call and say that we had an unexpected appointment pop up on the day we were meant to be checking in we called more than 24 hours before our check in time and were told that we would still be charged the full rate for the room. I have never experienced this EVER with more than 24 hours notice so we had to change the appointment which was a major! On arrival we were not given or offered any milk to go in our room ( I would expect milk for $145) there was old dried blood on one of our pillow cases, we could hear what was going on in almost every single room around us and to put the cherry on the cake we found a sign almost hidden behind the blinds in the kitchenette saying if we failed to do our dishes we would be charged $20! Would not recommend to anyone.

We had a superb stay in our cozy little lakefront room.
Everything about it was perfect.. It was rather spacious, with our own kitchen cooking facilities, made it alot easier for us to prep meals for our outings..We saved by not having to buy takeaways... The children loved this room also.. So a big A+++
Will definitely book again for next year.

Our stay at Cascades was wonderful from beginning to end. We got shown to our room, which I have to admit, was lovely. It had character, from the flax type flowers on the side table and dining table to to the art on the wall. The kitchenette was cute, the bed very comfortable and the electric blanket was just what was needed on the cold night.

Room a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Bonus of a spa bath. Close to water and we hired their bikes for a ride along the waterfront. A few restaurants in walking distance and short drive to town. New owners friendly. Bit slow checking in and spa pool not hot enough to use first night. Overall pleasant stay.

Great hosts that were really friendly and helpful.
The accommodation itself was just - our large group though this was the best and wished they could stay longer. Have been coming here for many years and the old owners were great and we are happy to know the new owners are just as good
