Under New Management

If I could give a 2.5 rating I would, but that is not an option. I have stayed at 3 different hotels in Claremore while visiting my daughter who attends Rogers State University. I found this hotel to be my least favorite as far as defining the whole experience. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and friendly and that was the best part of the 4 day stay. I was told the hotel is under new management, so that may change my opinion once changes have been made. If you don’t mind an older hotel with mechanical and aesthic issues, then you will be fine staying here.
Average hotel however if you are a light sleeper, do not stay here!

We booked a king, non smoking room at a very decent rate of $66.87, taxes included. The first room (Room 111), upon walking in smelled of dog/cat pee. We immediately asked to be moved to another room and without hesitation, Ryan helped us out and moved us to Room 117. I only have two suggestions: The computer/printer was not in working order so printing something was non existent (get it fixed ASAP). The bathroom needs a little attention to the mold/mildew that has collected in the plastic rod that attaches to the shower stall (spray some bleach type cleaner and it ought to do the trick). As the title suggests, if you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. The train tracks are really close and the horn will wake you up. Breakfast, internet/wifi, and customer service are fantastic.
Beware the trains

Hotel seems to have undergone a recent update and the room was clean and spacious. It did have a weird layout. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom with the tub and toilet in a tiny room. Had a massage showerhead that would not adjust to a normal spray. Hot breakfast had no selection except biscuits and gravy or waffles. The worst was the trains. I am not a light sleeper but about every 2 hours a train woke me up. Ask for a room with an even number as they are on the side away from tracks. Staff was nice.
Ok for an overnight stop

The reception staff were very efficient and friendly. The rooms good size, however the corridors and stairways did not look as though they had seen a hoover and in a while.
The room itself though was clean. Trains however pass regularly just over the road, and besides loudly announcing their arrival are extremely noisy into the night and early morning, you would have to be very deaf to be able to ignore them.
Very handy for the Rib Crib restaurant. Breakfast was fine and staff very helpful.
Older but Great

Spent 3 fine nights here. Quiet room, super comfortable bed, lovely breakfast included and the best value in town. We'd go back for sure. It's an older property, but has all the amenities we expected.
