Very disappointed in "Quality" of facility

I had been an Assistant Manager at a Quality Inn (different part of state) years ago and was very disappointed in this property. There were many issues including: no toilet paper holder, bathroom vanity shelf was warped and dirty, mold around tub, ice bucket lid and tray and vanity were dusty, something red splattered on wall, TV stand/dresser in bad condition & missing some knobs, refrigerator not very cold and had water pooling inside, table and chairs in poor condition with stains on upholstered seats, coffee maker was dusty and glass pot was dirty, coffee splatters on wall by coffee maker, nightstand, lamp, phone and clock were dusty. From the check in to check out, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. After a long drive it was very nice to just walk next door for dinner at Red Lobster and then come back and chill out without any outside noise.

Bad experience

I have stayed at many Quality Inns and this by far is the worst I have been to. I made sure it was noted that we were arriving after midnight on a friday night. Tired from a long day of work and travel we were handed a room on the third floor that was still dirty. Another half hour until we can get another room that was not much better. The breakfast offered was empty at 7:30 went back at 8:00 and still no eggs and bacon or sausage what ever was served and nobody around to restock. Two containers of yogurt were left in the cooler. .

Too many things wrong

Avoid room 114 near the laundry. Then the mattress was the most uncomfortable one we have ever had in a CHOICE hotel. Add to that the bed frame squeaked any time one moved. Suffice it to say that we didn't get much sleep that first night. Also the faucet in the sink needed some type of washer to prevent a gushing of water when you turned it on.
We complained and for the second night were placed in Room 121. Mattress slightly better except that bed frame also was extremely noisy when one moved. A shelf in the shower/tub wold have been nice.

Week stay is a value

I am in Latrobe every year at the same time for business and this was my second time to have stayed at this property. The rooms are clean and comfortable and with the weekly rate it is a good value. The exterior could use some sprucing up and the indoor pool looks like it has been closed for years. The breakfast is in real need of improvement. I stay here for the economics and is does what I need.
